YOU MUST DO THIS TOUR. This was a really great experience and the people at the wedding were all friendly. YOU CANNOT GET ANY MORE LOCAL THAN THIS!

It was real Zambian wedding, no performance. People at the wedding thought I was Sarah's friend (the person who took me for this 'tour'). I loved that it was so authentic. She was very informative about everything, explained to me every step of what was happening, and gave a profound description of their local food. Sarah was always by me observing that everything is fine and was taking so good care of me. She has a very comfortable car and when meeting me at the hotel, prepared nice snacks and presented me with a traditional dress tailored for me individually. Everything was perfect. Thanx a lot!

I agree with the event description that this is not a tour; you get the honor of witnessing a major life milestone in someone’s life & their family’s celebration! This is truly a once in a lifetime experience for people who enjoy unique cultural immersions. Purchasers of this experience should keep in mind that (1) staying flexible is necessary; the culture has a relaxed relationship with time, & events will unfold when the family is ready, & (2) since each event is with a different family & in a different home, you may not have an unobstructed view of events. My opinion was that this added to the authenticity. The family that invited us to join were very welcoming & we cannot thank them enough for such a wonderful experience!

This wedding attendance tour was truly wonderful. You can experience Zambian culture, including their dances and cuisine. You can participate wearing traditional Zambian attire, which is also amazing. Our guide, Sarah, is a supportive and lovely woman. The atmosphere was incredibly welcoming, and we felt like a part of the community. I highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to immerse themselves in authentic Zambian traditions.

This was the start of our awesome trip to Zambia. Our tight schedule meant we could only attend the cultural event on the day of our arrival. Our tour operators, Sarah and Patrick picked us from the airport and drove us to the event, with a quick stop to change into our traditional attire, which Sarah had gotten custom tailored for us beforehand. Right from the pickup, we felt the warmth and hospitality come through, and we kept getting educated on some of local aspects of country we were visiting. The ceremony itself was amazing. First the tradition is something to cherish. To see the whole ceremony from a privileged seat was indeed an honor. And the family was so welcoming. Right from groom to each member of the family ensured we were comfortable and well taken care of. Everyone, including Sarah and Patrick, took time to explain us the traditions, and the details of the ceremony. And the food... so good. There was so much that if we had tried to sample all the dishes, we would have needed two days. This was not commercial food... but authentic Zambian dishes cooked by the brides family and lets just say the cooking was done to impress the groom. Among the best we ate in Zambia. This particular tour was a last-minute addition to our itinerary, and we are super glad we did it. We were lucky to get an immersion in the culture and experience the rich traditions right on our first day. It was one of the highlights of our awesome visit to One Nation, One Zambia.

This was such a unique experience. I got to participate closely in a traditional wedding ceremony and eat authentic Zambian food. Sara, my guide, was great. She picked me up at the hotel around 1pm and gave me a traditional shirt to wear. We drove to the event place and she told me about the event and traditions along the way. We arrived there around 2:10pm. I met the groom and hang out for some time. After about two hours, at 4pm, the bride's crew arrived with all the food they made. That's when the ceremony really starts. It was a long wait, but you can't really control that. They go through several stages where the families negotiate, and the groom's family " bribes" the bride's family (who made all the food). They act out. There are drums, some singing. The bride's crew present all the food, which is a lot! The groom's crew throw money at them (and you get to do it too). It was fun. The main ceremony took about 1 hour, so around 5pm we headed out and waited for the food to be served. It wasn't until 5:45pm that I finally got food, so I was hungry! They had all sorts of traditional food, so this is a great opportunity to try many varieties of Zambian food. Sara taught me how to make the shima balls to eat (with your hands!). We left around 6:45, at which point I was done. From the time I left the hotel, to the time I was back, it was about 7 hours. This was a very unique experience that I told many people about, and they were wowed. I don't think it's for everyone. You need to be flexible with the unpredictable schedule (it's a real wedding!) and be comfortable interacting with people you don't know. On the other hand, it's an experience you can't get anywhere else.

I was looking for something unique to do on my business trip in Lusaka and I took this tour. I had no much idea was it was gonna be like. But Oh! was I blown away by the cultural aspect of the tour and the fact that you get to meet the couple and interact with them? Yes! I was totally 💯🤩🥳 The food was amazing, the people were so warm and friendly. They made me feel like the most important guest in the entire event. The love was massive and the tour guide helped me understand every step of the process. Indeed Africa is a motherland. Thanks to Rimor Tours. I definitely recommend this tour!
