You will enjoy a guided mangrove tour in the tidal forests of Chukwani by stand up paddle or kayak, as you choose! This tour starts with a lesson and safety brief, followed by a guided tour through mangrove tunnels, estuaries and open ocean. When you return from the tour, you can enjoy fresh fruit and local snacks. The tour is suitable for almost anyone and our guides will ensure you have a successful experience on the water.

What To Expect

The tour is suitable for almost anyone and our guides will ensure you have a successful experience on the water.

5.00I went on a SUP guided mangrove tour and loved it so much that I had to come back again and again - and within a short periode I have been on the waters 5 times. The scenary is painfully beautiful and changes with the tides and ohh - the sunsets are magic. Arsheen and Josh and their team of guides and instructors are lovely people, patient, technically strong and good instructors. I have never been on a board before this. You have fun and use your body in new ways - for me at least. Each time I have come back refreshed and full of new energy.

5.00Had a wonderful, serene hour-plus of stand-up paddling (SUP), ably guided by staff member Hijja. I'd only been on a SUP once before, but the board felt really stable and the water was really calm (and there was only one other person in the group). What a joyful experience! Afterwards I enjoyed the snacks in the shade, far from the hustle and bustle of Stone Town. Communication with the business owners to arrange the session was superb. Thoroughly recommended!

5.00My husband and I already paddleboard so we headed out with our 2 guides. Lovely to experience something different by mooching around the mangroves - peaceful, flat, beautiful clear water and even some pretty marine life! Saw shoals of fish fly out of the water when heading back too. Was able to paddleboard on the sea for a little bit, looking at Stone Town in the distance. An eco aware company and close to Stone Town.

5.00This is the most beautiful thing we've seen after a month in Zanzibar. Quiet alone in nature ten minutes from Stonetown - and for a beautiful scenery! The guides are brilliant and polite, and the local snacks after the tour were perfect for tired bodies. We're coming back!
