What To Expect
Old Slave Market/Anglican Cathedral
We will start our tour in the iconic place - The Forodhani Gardens is a small park in the historical city of Stone Town, Zanzibar. We will continue to Fuerte Viejo De Zanzibar, also known as an Arab fort, one of the oldest buildings in Stone Town, originally built by the Portuguese in the 17th century. Then we will pass the `House of Wonders` ruins to know how the name came about and why the whole East Africa knows about this building. Then we pass by the Palace Museum, also known as a The Sultan's Palace and Then Old Dispensery. Next point is the Anglican Cathedral Stone Town Zanzibar, the most prominent example of early Christian architecture in East Africa. You get a unique opportunity to walk through underground slave chambers and see extraordinary historical monuments, followed by the Old Slave Market, infamous for being the most brutal. After that we come back to our meeting point in The Forodhani Gardens.

5.00Stone Town private tour with a French speaking guide. Interesting, vibrant. The guide spoke good french and walked you around the intimate stone town life. Abdull and his brother have been perfect drivers, caring. Abdull recommended an excellent restaurant downtown. I strongly recommend Abdull !

5.00Abdulrazak gave us the BEST tour we have ever been on in any city, country, or continent. His level of knowledge about Zanzibar’s history and Stonetown are truly unmatched. The day felt like living in a documentary in the best way. This is a true family operation with his brother driving us, his wife applying henna, and by the end of the day we felt like we were part of their crew due to their warmth and hospitality. We also added on a spice tour which was a really amazing experience. Got to see how ~10 native spices are grown, got to eat fresh tropical fruit, drink fresh coconut water, and had the opportunity to purchase some tea and coffee to bring home. We really truly cannot emphasize how amazing Abdulrazak and his guiding experience is. Book with him for what will surely be a highlight of your trip!

5.00I highly recommend this tour and our amazing tour guide, Abdul. From start to finish, Abdul provided the best service to our group of four. We were so pleased with our walking tour that we booked a customized full day tour the next day. Abdul was always punctual and ready to guide us each day. I really appreciate his extensive knowledge of the history of Zanzibar and Tanzania, It was so interesting to learn about the history of the island which made our trip even more impactful. I'm so grateful that we got Abdul as our tour guide because he helped show us how beautiful Zanzibar is. Thanks Abdul for making our holiday a spectacular one that we'll never forget!

5.00Sometimes it could be terrifying to travel solo especially when you are a female. But my experience with Abdul was amazing 😍. I travelled to Zanzibar and Abdul ensured my safety since the day I arrived as he picked me up from the ferry terminal and escorted me to my hotel. The following day he made sure I explore all the famous places in Zanzibar. We went to Kendwa beach, Spice Farm where we had lunch, stone town, the former slave market, Forodhani where there is an evening food market and I tried Urojo the famous food mixture in Zanzibar. We also visited the local market and so many other places. I had so much fun and took lots of pictures that will always remind me of Zanzibar. I'm looking forward to return and book Abdul as my tour guide. He is a disciplined gentleman that any one is safe around him.

5.00Abdul is an amazing guide that helped us to discover the wonders of Prison Island and Nakupenda beach. Abdul speaks a fluent English and knows a lot of curious stuff about Tanzania history (don’t be shy to make a lot of questions about it). After visiting Prison Island, Abdul brought us to Nakupenda beach, a tropical paradise on its own league. Be prepared to admire crystal clear waters (with changeling tones of blue), coral with fishes and to eat one of the best seafood (always cooked by Abdul crew) that I ever eaten in my life. Thanks for this experience!

5.00We did a really cool tour of Stone Town yesterday, thanks to Abdul, Mohammad and Omar! The guys were super nice and we had a really nice afternoon together. The tour is definitely worthwhile if you want to learn a little more about the history and architecture of Stone Town.
