This location was gorgeous! The ziplines were very professionally put together and we had no safety concerns. We arrived at 10:30 as the park opens at 11am and our ship had a 4:30pm return time, so we were very time conscious and wanted to get ready in advance if possible. No obvious line at start or sign with instructions, just large crowds milling around and a large cruise group going in early. First employee alerted us to the waiver (QR code on wall) but not the need for wrist bands. Next we were told to go the window for bands (ticket window marked "Reservations", but it didn't open until 11am. We started to wait, then realized we had "cut" in the line that was more crowd than line. Moved to back of "line". Next one employee told us to join a second line, only to be told 5 minutes later by a different employee that we had to get back in the original line which had grown. At the window make sure you have your "Reservation number from the email" as the bar code on the ticket from Viatour was not acceptable. Even after presenting the email, the window clerk took my phone and was scrolling through my email. They finally looked me up by name and we got wristbands. We decided to save the museum for last due to time. Gondola up the mountain was gentle with great views. Sentry Hill stop was another crowd rather than a line as they were taking big groups and another group had just left. Due to the wait for harnesses we were instructed to just hang out, so everyone mixed together for 30-45 minutes and made another big group. We arrived 3rd in that second big group of the day and tried to stay near the front. If you are at the end of the line walking up the trail, your wait will be much longer. As soon as you finish the Sentry Hill lines, you can walk down the path to take off the harness and move to the next gondola. Gondola to the Flying Dutchman was peaceful and the lookout at the top was phenomenal. Luckily we read to get our name on the list asap, which we did. Head toward the mountain top bar and music, there was an employee with a clip board. After which, we took a few minutes to make a bio-break and take some photos only to realize we had missed our turn in the line. Once we entered the last line we waited 1.5 hours for the final zip. There are 4 lines going down with zipping done in pairs, about 35 seconds per ride, but about a 5 minute harness return time. The crew was professional and working as quickly as was safe, but were limited to about 45 riders per hour. Flying Dutchman was exhilarating with beautiful views! Once we made it to the bottom of the mountain, we spent a few minutes in the museum which was small, but full of great history. Luckily there were a few cabs left at 3:30pm and we made it back to the ship on time. Cab fare was $7pp each way. If you can go without any time pressure or a ship in port, that would be highly recommended. Line management recommendations: Sign at the entrance alerting to waiver and the need for wristbands; Better line markers at entrance: ropes with signs on the entrance as the lines spilled well out front of the building; Group numbers at Sentry Hill stop to keep some order; Sign or warning about final wait - A 1H from this point sign or give numbers and call them out with 15 min to go. That would give people more time at the bar and the view. Overall a very beautiful and exhilarating day, but time pressure definitely detracted. If early departure, book through cruise ship for return guaranty and relax.

I had the best time! The first four little ones are a great warm up for the Flying Dutchman and the view while you’re up there is beautiful. I can’t wait to go again

If your goal is to do the Dutchman, don't sign up for anything else. Go straight from the gondola to the Dutchman. We did Sentry Hill first on the 11 AM spot. By the time we got to the Dutchman, it was a 2 1/2 hour wait to do the zipline. So while we started at 11, we didn't get down the hill until 4:30 in the afternoon. There's no food at the top, only a bar with zero snacks. So also highly recommend you bring snacks, drinks, gatorade - whatever you can comfortably carry in a small backpack. Several of our group, and other groups left without doing the Dutchman because of the wait, and there are no refunds. Sentry HIll was a nice warm up, and if you are good to spend your whole day there, go for it. Just know what to expect - it is not a 3 hour activity! People who did the intertubes liked those as well (we had plenty of time to chat with our fellow travelers for the Dutchman - we were in the line for an hour and a half. Sign up/get on the list as soon as you get the top (something else they didn't tell us) so we killed about an hour in the bar/shade/etc waiting to get called to stand in line. Also, it opens at 11, but recommend you get there at 10:30 and that you have your waivers signed and ready to go. This might minimize time standing in lines.

My wife and I brought our two daughters and while my wife and oldest daughter ziplined, my younger daughter and I explored the museum. She enjoyed the looking at the iguanas on the grounds. We will certainly return on our next visit to the island.

We enjoyed this adventure. We were disappointed in the tube ride as it was slow and we even stopped while in route. The line was really long for the Dutchman, however, the process was really good.

This was absolutely thrilling, not for the faint of heart or if you’re unable to climb a lot of steps. We absolutely loved it, but definitely bring sunscreen. There’s a lot of uncovered area where you’re in the direct sun for quite a bit of time …but you should absolutely do it.

OMG THE VIEWS!!!!! Amazing views of all of St Maarten and the surrounding islands. If you’re not afraid of heights, I 100% recommend you at least take the chair lift and go up to the Sky Deck to take in the view. My daughter and I were the only brave ones to venture up to do this. If you have a fear of heights, the chair lift to the top may be too much as well. The Sentry Hill zip line was a nice series of four zip lines that wasn’t too much. Had some decent views. After the Sentry line there’s another separate chair lift to ride to the top to take you to the Flying Dutchman. Wasn’t scary at all, the harness felt extremely safe. They do have a zippered pouch on the harness for you to put some small valuables (phone, wallet, water bottle).

It was so much fun & a great experience! The only downfall is the wait at the end which is the Flying Dutchman. We were waiting for over two hours.

Rainforest Anventures severely overbooked the Flying Dutchman, resulting in a more than 2 hour wait time to go on the ride. Had to leave without riding the Flying Dutchman to ensure I made it back to the ship on time. Would not recommend.

We had a great time and enjoyed our experience. The braking system was amazing compared to other Ziplines I have been on recently. I will say workers were not using their safety equipment on the zip line, safety stop lines etc , which could have been why someone behind us got hurt. The pics make you think all 4 of our party would get to go on the Flying Dutchman at the same time. That is not the case. Overall 9/10 would do again!
