Ronnie is so amazing his knowledge is vast. There are a couple of things that you should know before going. 1st you can only be on Navajo nation with a native Navajo guide and there are not a lot of them. 2nd it’s a group tour so very personal and you get a lot of knowledge of the Navajo people. 3rd you get to see the biggest horseshoe bend in the grand canyon.

Ronnie was a wonderful guide! Very knowledgeable about the history and geology of the region giving a new perspective on what you are seeing. He shared Navajo history and how they have adapted to the area. Highly recommend!

Ronnie’s tour is one of the best I’ve ever been on. Our family came away with awe inspiring memories of unique stories and lasting impressions of beautiful landscapes, and knowledge to share with others. Ronnie provides insightful perspective and deep knowledge of the area and the Dine people. Through his unique story telling Ronnie wove together his knowledge of the land, and history of the Dine people, while navigating unmapped reservation roadways in some of the most remote and vast places in the area. At our primary spot we we able to take beautiful pictures and were even visited by some warblers who visited us from nearby rock walls. The views and peaceful serenity of the landscapes we experienced are unforgettable. Ronnie took time to educate us on a span of topics: geography and geology, landscapes, the Dine, area landmarks, tribal sovereignty and government, and more. While we could have easily spent the entire day seeing various sites yet unexplored by our family, the fact we didn’t get to see two of the primary spots available on Ronnie’s itineraries, is yet another reason for us to return and have another amazing experience with him.

Ronnie gave my family a once-in-a-lifetime tour to the eastern rim parts of the Grand Canyon while teaching us about the land and his Dinè (Navajo) people. There are many tours to the Grand Canyon, but very few with someone who can bring the land to life with their personal connection to it. We are driving through Ronnie’s childhood home on the Navajo reservation he grew up on, and he is one of few licensed tour operators permitted by the Navajo nation to take tours through it. He showed us the breathtaking view of Tatahatso, a horseshoe bend where we ate a picnic lunch in peace as the only visitors there. The pics don’t do the site justice. Ronnie was also so nice to my mom and sister and me and took many photos of us while sharing personal anecdotes and answering any questions we had about the geology or the sage surrounding us. This tour is how we started our Grand Canyon visit and it will be hard to beat. I found it more enriching than the Pink Jeep tour we did in Sedona. I highly recommend this tour because it’s a privilege to be able to see this site on Dinè land. Also wanted to note that Ronnie was flexible with moving up our tour time to accommodate our drive if you need to do the same!

Amazing tour, starts with our guide Ronnie. He has extensive knowledge of local geology, history, and all interesting points relating to local area. One of a kind experience visiting East Rim of Grand Canyon at Horseshoe Bend. Exceptional views and place worth visiting out of the beaten path, with no one around, just us and natural beauty of surroundings.

If you are looking for a way to experience the Grand Circle without the exhausting crowds and long lines of the typical tourist traps, East Grand Canyon Navajo Tours is the answer. Our afternoon with Ronnie wasn’t just a tour; it felt like being invited into someone’s home. Because the route crosses private Navajo Nation land, we had exclusive access to the East Rim and Horseshoe Bend areas that felt completely untouched. Standing on the edge of the canyon in total silence—no cars, no shouting, just our picnic lunch and a breathtaking views. What sets this experience apart: • The Personal Connection: Ronnie is a licensed Navajo guide who grew up on this land. His stories aren’t from a script; they are part of his family legacy and way of life. • Deep Insight: We walked away with a profound understanding of local geology and Navajo culture. Ronnie was incredibly relatable and went out of his way to tailor the day to exactly what we wanted to see. • True Serenity: Seeing the Grand Canyon the way Ronnie’s ancestors saw it—raw, quiet, and majestic—is a privilege. It is "off the beaten path" in the truest sense of the phrase. • The Canyon is awe-inspiring no matter how you see it, but the real difference is Ronnie!

This tour is an absolute must for anyone visiting Page and the Grand Circle! Our licensed Navajo guide took us on a private, exclusive tour through a portion of the Navajo Nation, explaining local history, culture and geology as we went. His energy and enthusiasm were evident from the moment we arrived! The tour cumulated with a stop at the East Rim of the Grand Canyon - we had a picnic lunch and the most amazing views! And the best part? No crowds, no cars, no lines - just a gorgeous, breathtaking vista of one of the most beautiful places on earth! Thank you Ronnie for an afternoon we will remember forever!

My family and I came to AZ for a vacation and heard about the East Grand Canyon Navajo Tours. I am so glad we decided to make this a part of our trip. Ronnie had lots of knowledge about the area, as well as the history of the Navajo people and was very relatable. We had an amazing time and were able to experience Arizona places away from the crowds. It was like nothing we were expecting. I highly recommend East Grand Canyon Navajo Tours hands down to anyone wanting to see the beauty of AZ in the peace and quiet.

Incredible experience!! We got an exclusive and private view of the Grand Canyon Horse Shoe and the East Rim. Our guide, Ronnie, really knew the geology of the area and taught us a lot. Since he grew up there, he also shared lots of information on the Navajo culture, history, and way of life. He really went out of his way to provide a truly one of a kind experience. I can’t recommend this highly enough as you won’t get a chance to see the things we saw on any other tour with a guide as knowledgeable and friendly as Ronnie!!
