• The Perfect Day in Matsue

  It was my first time in Matsue and we couldn’t have picked a better tour! We only had one full day to explore the city and this was perfect. It covered the most important highlights, while also bringing a lot of fun and excitement into the day with indigo dying and the tea ceremony! We had so much fun on the tour and the guides were incredible — Aika in particular was my favorite. I would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Matsue and wanting a single day extensive tour. There’s also an audio guide, which helped us ensure we got all the most important details as we walked through the castle and Matsue city. • An absolute must-do while in Japan

  This is an amazing tour of an absolute gem of a city in Japan. How it isn’t a mainstream tourist destination is beyond me. The tour made our time in Matsue even more rich, as we participated in activities we otherwise wouldn’t have known to do. From the Matsue Castle tour to traditional indigo dying with a true indigo crafts master (one of the few left in Japan!), each stop made me feel more connected to this city. For my next Japan visit, I will want to repeat the same activities, and explore even more! Special thanks to Tomo-san, Takumi-san, and especially Aika-san who made this an unforgettable time. I will 100% be returning.
