  I have been to Borcelo Barvaro Beach now 3 years in a row. Our first 2 years were fabulous. I just got home a few days ago and my trip the last 2 weeks was not pleasurable. The weather was fabulous, the beach was fabulous, the staff were fabulous and every morning we came out there were 2-3 gentlmen cleaning the inside of the pool which was great as other resorts we went to did not do this on a daily basis. Our issues are this, In the past years, staff would have the outside of the pool areas cleaned in the evenings after 7:00 pm. The areas were disgusting in the mornings with cups all over the place on cots and on the cement until 10:00 AM. People were allowed to SMOKE and VAPE at the pool and INSIDE the pool and click their ashes inside the pool. Cigarettes butts and cigars were left all over the ground of the pool area as I took pictures of this as well as cigarette boxes. We have been to many resorts that have given smokers areas to smoke away from the pool area and that should be done here! I am allergic to cigarettes and I have spoken to others who are as well so why don't the management make a smokers area near the pool for them to WALK to so they can have their cigarettes???????? There are more people in this day and age who do not smoke than those who do smoke. Why must I get up off my cot as I have a coughing attack because someone is smoking beside me as I am choking on their cigarettes???? This is the first resort I have experienced this at. The first day we checked in we kindly asked for 4 towels daily. We needed 2 each night for a shower and 2 in the morning. We were only given 2 towels daily except for one day. Our TV only worked for 5 days out of 14 days. We were told on several occasions the entire complex was out but when we spoke to other patrons they told us their TVs worked fine. Some did say their TVs went out for a few hours but that was it. Why were were told otherwise????????? Well as I said the first 2 years were awesome and this past 2 weeks well you read it. Will we be back I do not think so especially after they allowed smoking in the pool and outside the pool at their cots. This was NEVER allowed before. They did have no smoking on their signs in previous years but they said they did not but this was not true as people NEVER smoked in and around the pool previously as I would have said something in my first two years of being here. I am allergic to cigarette and cigar smoke and it was everywhere in and around the pool.
