  We did a 75 km drive along the coasts back through the mountains. Because we were not sure how far we could get we drove sparingly (max on tour stand, stand 2). But we still had more than enough battery left. Bikes are in good order, all was smoothly arranged. Highly recommended!

  I just return from a trip to Crete, In one of my best days on the island I was on a ride to Balos and Falassarna with an e-bike rented from Fit in Crete, A great and professional team, the bike was in a perfect condition, Manu was very kind and attentive with lots of practical and accurate advice.I highly recommend them and hope I will return soon to be Fit in Crete again.

  Manu and his business partner are so professional. I contacted just from a google search and many other places didnt even answer me about how to get to Balos beach. Manu offered me a quick reply and many solutions to what I needed to know to be able to get to the beautiful beach location. Manu went out of his way to help me as a customer, and I felt really taken care of every step of the way. I rented an E-bike for a day trip to balos from Kissamos. I wouldnt ever recommend going on a normal bike, it would be too strenuous. This way you get that extra power you need. Especially since you cant drive rental cars out there as the rental companies dont insure for the Balos road. The road is still difficult but managable with the ebike and its different modes. You park at the top and walk 20 minutes maybe down to the most amazing beach Ive seen. Recommend going early in the morning before all the people start arriving. April was a good time as not too hot and not too many people, before the boats have started. I assume its all different when the boats begin. The bus stop is just outside their shop so easy to get to and from Chania if needed. Cost me 28 euros for the day. I highly recommend this business to anyone wanting any sort of adventure in Crete. They will take good care of you and can be trusted :)

  On our recent trip to Crete, we took 2 bike tours with Fit in Crete - West Crete and Theriso Gorge. We loved both of them. The staff were professional and very knowledgeable. Both rides were gorgeous. The rides are very doable but challenging. We are experienced ebike riders - we're used to hills but not riding in the mountains. For the Theriso Gorge ride you are going up the whole first half of the ride but what a glorious downhill for the second half! This is a fantastic way to experience the beauty of Crete. Highly recommended!

• Exhilarating round trip to Balos

  We got the public bus from Chania bus station to Kissamos and Manu and his friend met us from there. He gave us full demos and instructions for the E-bikes, which we had never experienced before and we did flat cycling first to get used to them but we were soon on our 30km (I think) round trip up a mountain to Balos. What a ride! Flat normal road surface to start with but then once on the mountain it is a rocky track. Cars do attempt to go up it too, so best to start early in the day. We saw mountain goats and stunning views. Once at the top there are refreshments to buy from a little hut and facilities, we parked the bikes and made our way on foot across and then down the mountain to Balos beach. The views were dramatic, stunning and breath-taking. Steps down are actual steps in most places but it is rocky, we wore normal trainers, you don't really need walking boots. We then spent some time on the beach in the beautiful turquoise water with strands of pink sand in some places and then made our climb back up the hill. The cycle back down the mountain is hair-raising but utterly exhilarating. Once down, we cycled through a charming village before arriving back in Kissamos. I would highly recommend. Manu was a friendly, gracious and informed guide. The E-bikes were fantastic, you get a great workout but with extra assistance up those steep inclines. Helmets and padded seat covers are provided.
