5.00Our tour guide Maria told us a lot of background information on the origin of Meteora in very good English. She responded to all our questions we had in a very pleasant manner. Our driver Kostas was very pleasant and drove calmly.

5.00It is a long day. Well planned though. We left Athens at 8:00 am. Four hours drive to Kalambaka. Christina was our tour guide. She is great! Full of knowledge. Funny, helpful, making it an enjoyable tour for you. Highly recommend
A day in Meteora with Thanos

5.00We had a beautiful morning seeing the Meteora area and monasteries with our guide Thanos. He explained all of the history and significance of each monastery. We had stops for photos throughout the area, and he navigated the crowds and traffic with ease. I am so glad we booked this tour as we only had a short time in Kalambaka and felt we didn’t miss anything. Thanos gave us excellent recommendations for lunch and halva after the tour.
The best. Advantageous. So do this one.

5.00Meteora Tours. Make sure you choose these, they are similar in name. Via: meteora-tour.gr booked. A morning tour with Ioanna and Tanos in their bus. Starts at 08:30 and we are picked up from our hotel, super. It is not crowded and therefore our tour is smooth with one extra monastery that we are allowed to visit. That's a lot of climbing stairs, but it's definitely worth it. Meteora Tours provides a lot of information and the ride is controlled. Great value for money. Recommended!

5.00The tour was better than I expected! Joanna is super nice and a very knowledgeable tour guide—she showed me around and shared a lot of interesting information. Nikos, the driver, was very professional and navigated the extremely crowded roads with patience and calmness. Both have a great sense of humor! I don’t even know what I liked most—their company or Meteora! Highly recommend!

5.00An unforgettable morning experience at Meteora with the best team! Our morning family tour of Meteora exceeded all expectations! It was a unique experience, rich in images, knowledge and feelings, thanks to the exceptional people who welcomed us with joy and accompanied us: Mr. Spiro, our guide, Mrs. Ioanna and Mrs. Dina who helped Mr. Spiro in driving. From the first moment you felt like you were in the best hands. Mr. Spyros with his kind smile and the absolutely safe driving made every move comfortable and relaxed, receiving but also delivering us to the point we agreed from the beginning, making us incredibly easy! The conversations endless, especially pleasant personality, that in the end we discovered common acquaintances although we live in different countries! However, Ioanna was the soul of the tour. Her knowledge of the history, spirituality and architecture of Meteora, combined with the lively and human way of telling, deeply touched us. He transported us to other times, helped us to see the monasteries not simply as monuments, but as living places of prayer, labor and faith. Her love for the country and its culture was evident in every word. We admired the wonderful approach he had depending on who he addressed (adult or child). The excursion was extremely organized, with comfortable breaks, impressive points of view and contact with the invisible sides of Meteora, but also the surrounding area. The team had taken care of every detail, allowing us to devote ourselves to simply enjoying. They were always willing to answer all our questions and offer us a warm and friendly atmosphere! To sum up, it was an experience that we will never forget. We strongly recommend this tour to anyone who visits Meteora and wish you were so lucky to be accompanied by the same people! 5.00I am still in awe. Early in the morning I was picked up at the hotel I stayed. I met the wonderful driver Nikos and wonderful tourguide Ioanna. Together with the three of us we went up the mountain. Truly amazing sights. Nikos grew up in Kalambaka so he knows the best stops, and Ioanna can tell you all sorts of information regarding the Meteora as she is an archeologist herself as well. I'm still in awe of the amazing tour. The sights, the sweet friendly connection with them, truly amazing! If you consider going, I would definitely recommend an early tour as there will be not many people there. I even had a moment to myself on the rocks with the sunrise. Therefore I was extra surprised how busy it got, just a couple hours later when the monasteries were open and I went up again to actually go inside. Once again, thank you Nikos, thank you Ioanna - afgaristo!

5.00Wow, what an absolutely fantastic experience of the majestic monasteries tour with Meteora-Tour was! From start to finish, everything was seamless and truly awe-inspiring. But the real gem of this tour was our incredible guide, Joana. Joana didn't just guide us; she immersed us in the region's rich tapestry. Her knowledge of the history, the cultural significance, and the details of each monastery was truly impressive. She brought the stories of Meteora to life with such passion and clarity.
