  My wife and I are both architects + teachers. Our guide on Tuesday, September 9th, was simply terrific. He painted a clear and thoughtful picture of the history of the city through the evolution of its architecture within this remarkable setting. An economist and teacher himself, he folded ideas of work, folk, and place into a tidy ecosystem that was lovely to behold. I wish his name was on the card he gave us at tour's end.

  This tour did not deliver on its stated aims, city and architecture tour. This was a history tour. Our guide, an older woman "Guna" (please excuse my spelling) talked to us 80%+ about history, even after 3 times I wanted to hear more about architecture, she is telling us about Erik the Red. She knew very, very little about architecture. Selling something and not delivering it is a fraud. You have been warned.

  Had a fabulous tour with our guide ! He was very informative and specialized our walking tour based on our requests. It was certainly very interesting and fun ! Would highly recommend this walking tour.

  The guide was 15 minutes late, and announced he was a back up guide because of a scheduling issue. He told us he wasn’t an architecture specialist which was really disappointing. He walked us around and gave us some folklore history which was interesting, but not the tour we wanted. He was constantly checking his watch to see how much longer he needed to stay with us. Very disappointing!

  Even though we went over three hours, the tour was rather pricey for the experience, and we found the guide to be creepy. He insisted on using his phone to take photos, yet never shared them with us. Buyer beware, he doesn’t check messages on the weekend as he’s not in the office. Not great when you are booked for a Saturday.

  This tour was fantastic. We really felt like we understood and appreciated the history and unique qualities of Reykjavik afterwards. Our guide was engaging, funny, and extremely knowledgeable.
