  We were a group of experienced hikers and were lucky enough to be guided by Tato and Katrina. It was a 5 day hike, quite demanding at times, and with variable weather conditions. The guides were super professional, explained all aspects of the conditions and terrain and were careful to support all our various requests. Good language skills, kind and passionate: the best!

  Just completed a trek in Svaneti with TrekGeorgia and it was one of the best experiences I’ve had so far! Everything was very well organised, from smooth transportation to comfortable guesthouses with delicious home-cooked meals. Special thanks to our guide, Tamo, who was really great at handling our group. She constantly checked in to make sure we were doing okay while hiking, and at the same time shared so much about Georgian and Svaneti culture. The trek itself was absolutely beautiful and truly one of the nicest trails I’ve experienced. • Trek in Georgia Svaneti region and sight seeing tour

  I recently concluded a week long trek in Georgia. This was in the Svaneti region in the Cacasus mountains bordering Russia. The trek was followed by a 6 day tour of Kobuleti, Kutaisi, Gori, Gudauri and of course the winaries. The entire itinerary was executed by TrekGeorgia. All the arrangements were absolutely spot on.   Excellent organisation by Trek Georgia. We were a big group of 17 people. But everything from food, transport, luggage handling to staying arrangements were meticulously organised. Our guide, Tato was very enthusiastic and extremely helpful. I would highly recommend Trek Georgia for your trekking experience in the beautiful country of Georgia!

  We were a group of 5 men, in our mid-50s, and booked a private tour with Trek Georgia in the Svaneti area. From the start, the communication with them was excellent! Dito responded quickly -- quicker than the 3 other companies that I'd emailed -- and very effectively. He understood what we wanted to do, and tailored the itinerary and other requirements (e.g., vegetarian food for all days) perfectly. The logistics worked super smoothly! They picked us up at our hotel in Tbilisi in a comfortable van for the trip to Svaneti, with a stop on the way for lunch at an excellent restaurant, with the food already set on the table when we arrived! The hotels and guesthouses were good, and again, the logistics of getting us to places, getting our luggage to the hotels and guesthouses, food, all worked perfectly. And of course, above all, Gogi -- our guide -- was excellent! Friendly, informative, and super knowledgeable of the trails. He knew exactly when and where to stop for breaks, picking shaded areas, water spots, etc. In sum, I definitely recommend Trek Georgia.

• Mestia/Ushguli Trek

  We did the 6-day Mestia-Ushguli trek but opted to stay 3 days in Mestia and 2 days in Ushguli. Instead of trekking to Ushguli from Mestia, we did 'day treks' from Mestia and Ushguli. We not only visited the major 'highlights' of Ushba Waterfall, Koruldi Waterfall, Chkhutnieri Pass, Sakhara Glacier and Chalaadi Glacier, Dito (can't ask for a better driver/guide) also took my kids and climbed a couple of the peaks near Mestia and Ushguli. Everything went smoothly and there is no issue at all (the autumn colours is a bonus!). I have no qualms about recommending TrekGeorgia.

  Fantastic 1-week hike from Mazeri to Ushguli organised by TrekGeorgia. Dito, our guide, knows the area like the palm of his hand and the whole trip was flawlessly organised. Beautiful scenery, gorgeous villages, and a good night's sleep at friendly guesthouses every day with excellent dinners and breakfasts. Dito was great at responding to every eventuality, including a potentially hazardous medical emergency affecting a group member. All in all a great experience, thanks TrekGeorgia!

  We did both the Svaneti and Tusheti Trekking group tour. I can warmly recommend trekgeorgia.com for organizing unique experiences that fit your needs. You will not only discover the beautiful Caucasus but also get to know a culture very closely. Our guides were dedicated, adapting to everyone's level, and shared their years of experience in the best way!
