5.00Chiara opened doors that would otherwise have remained closed. The workshops visited are not on tourist itineraries, and the access she provided, along with the trust the artisans placed in her presence, made this an experience of a different order entirely. The visit to a silversmith was the undeniable highlight, a memory that will stay with me permanently. What made it exceptional was not only the craftsmanship itself but the generosity with which it was shared, so much so that during the visit to the goldsmith that followed, it took a moment to return to the present. The goldsmith, whose practice is very much alive and growing, offered a compelling counterpoint. That the two workshops sat at opposite ends of the same spectrum gave the afternoon a texture that no single visit could have offered. Chiara adapted the tour to specific interests with precision and care, and her knowledge of the artisans and their histories made every conversation richer than it would have been without her. For anyone with an interest in craft, material culture, or the living traditions of Rome, this is the experience to book.

5.00Enjoyed an amazing visit to an artisan’s place of business where they hone their craft of creating one-of-a-kind jewelry and restoration work. You can see the love and passion in the pieces they create. They do not use modern machinery but tools used by generations before them. A dying art. It was a wonderful tour. Thank you for taking the time to provide us with the history of your craft. It was all so interesting. Loved it!

5.00Chiara was with our group for two weeks throughout Italy. Her professionalism, energy and organization of our group of 22 was top notch. I was very impressed by her problem solving wisdom when a situation arose. Her knowledge of Rome and support of local artisans was heart-felt.
