  I'm always a tiny bit anxious before meeting up for one of these tours because you never know what you're going to get in terms of a guide or the other guests. Across four trips to Japan, I've done six food tours with different companies and it has really run the gamut. The guide for this one was Kay and she was g.r.e.a.t!! Very personable and enthusiastic, has quite the unique background and shares a lot about the local culture and food scene. Really, it was like having dinner with a friend which, to me, is always the mark of a good tour! (And if you happen to follow baseball, she's especially the guide for you!) The tour was for three hours and while we hit three different spots, it didn't seem rushed at all. In fact, three hours was the perfect amount of time. And it was quite a bit of food! I really couldn't eat anything more. So I feel it's a good value because the food was all delicious and the three spots are well-rated. With the language barrier, I would never have approached these particular places on my own so, to me, that adds value. I also appreciated that we had reserved seating, especially for the parfait shop! And I appreciated getting to try the famous Genghis Khan (Jingisukan). And I appreciated that Magical Trip allows for solo travelers because, sadly, not every tour company does. So there's a lot to appreciate!

  Midori is a wonderful, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable guide! We had a wonderful and delicious evening dining in Sapporo with her! Delightful tour! Highly recommended!

  We met Mr. Hideki beneath the iconic NIKKA Sign, where he warmly introduced us to the history of the sign and the spirit of Sapporo itself before leading us on an unforgettable evening. From unlimited drinks and unbelievably delicious jingisukan lamb to decadent parfaits that were the perfect ending, every moment felt special. Hearing Mr. Hideki share stories of his local upbringing and watching the history and growth of Sapporo come alive through his words made the entire experience both heartfelt and deeply memorable.   This was such a fun tour! Midori was so friendly and kind and absolutely the best guide. She showed me a great time on my first night in Sapporo. This was a major highlight of my trip to Japan and I would recommend her tour to anyone visiting. Thank you, Midori!
