Get this Off-the-Beaten-Tracks Mountain Train Experience, now! Let it be through Alps mountains, canyons, viaducts & tunnels, get fresh air following 3 great valleys. Explore hidden gems & breathtaking landscapes into picturesque medieval villages (1 is labeled: "one of France's most beautiful villages") & many more.
Lunch incl. in one of the best valley's restaurant.
Visit its medieval jewels through unspoiled nature, ruins of castles, great panoramic points, a Monastery & a great Bronce Age Museum (option) - Short hike possible.
A shuttle bus will permit us to jump from village to village by spectacular roads through canyons. Special Italian atmosphere (recently became French and great Alpine adventure, with history of wars & glory (WW2, Napoleon).
You will love the tiny maze of medieval streets, a splendid baroque atmosphere in the monuments & how authentic is real Nice countryside.

Meeting point at 7.55am in front of the main entrance of: Gare de Nice Ville ("boulangerie Paul" terrace, next the main entrance), 12 avenue Thiers, Nice (2mn walk from Tramway (line 1) stop "Gare Thiers", follow up the black modern building during 2 minutes until the big square. The guide will be waiting for you at Boulangerie Paul terrace with a blue sign "Train Experience through the Alps". Don't be late, the train doesn't wait!

5.00A mix of scenic train & bus rides & walking to ancient villages. Our guide Cyril was awesome. He greeted us with a huge smile & cup of coffee. He always made sure we were ok Not only was he a Tour Guide but he was a very friendly host too. His local knowledge is 2nd to none from his former professional career. I’ll never forget eating a snack that Cyril provided under the apricot tree at the monastery gardens & his telling the story of the 14th century frescoes at Notre Dame des Fontaines. Lunch at La Brigue was the best meal of our trip. A do not miss activity but only if Cyril is your tour guide!

5.00I can’t give this trip a high enough rating. The whole trip went smoothly from start to finish. The sights we saw were exceptional, but ultimately, what made the trip was the energy and knowledge of our guide - the amazing Cyrile. This fellow was out of this world clever on the history and information and really went above and beyond. This would be without a doubt the best tour we have ever been on. Pack good shoes if it is raining and make sure you have your camera on charge with plenty of space as it exceeded expectations with what we saw. Filled a day in a life-long memorable way. Thanks Cyrile and to our fellow tour members who made this day fantastic.

5.00This tour was a highlight of my three months in Europe. The French Riviera had gotten very hot and crowded; this trip to the Alps was just what we needed. The small villages had almost no tourists and our guide was wonderful at explaining everything to us. The gardens at the monastery were beautiful and we enjoyed good music with a bit of wine and a snack. Lunch was fantastic. The guide was very willing to adapt to the needs of our group. He was good company and lots of fun. Highly recommend.

5.00This train tour through the Alps was worth every penny. The tour guide (Cyril) was incredible, kind, very prepared to assist all the tourist, and full of wonderful surprises for all of us. The tour was amazing and Cyril had a wealth of historical information for every site we passed or walked through. The food experience was fabulous. The medieval villages were incredible to walk through. We would do this adventure again and specifically with Cyril.

5.00Cyril was the most amazing tour guide I’ve ever had in my life! I would 1000% recommend going with him. No matter what you needed, he had it. It was like he could read minds, I swear. It didn’t rain on us, but he had 9 umbrellas in his bag just in case. It was hot out, so he whipped out some neck fans. He literally brought us homemade Niçois pizza and changed the recipe to go with our dietary restrictions. He has everything you could ever need in his bag!! He was the most incredible guide ever! He took such good care of us and I would absolutely recommend him to anyone and everyone! Absolutely zero issues and 10/10, would do again!!

5.00We had an amazing experience doing this tour/experience. Not only did we get the beautiful views of the Alps and get to explore the villages but I also learned so much from our guide Samuel! He kept the entire group entertained and answered all of our questions completely, making this tour even more engaging to be on. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone that is looking for a bit of a unique way to experience the Southern France area.

5.00We came to France to celebrate my 50th birthday and my daughter's 21st birthday. We chose this experience in order to try gain as much culture as possible! It absolutely did not disappoint. Our guide, Samuel, knew so much history and was a phenomenal guide the entire day. The train ride was picturesque and the small villages were as if they were straight out of a fairytale, and the local lunch was delicious!!! Out of all of the experiences I booked on this trip, this one was by far the best. The communication was great, and there were no challenges at all!!! We highly recommend!!!

5.00We thoroughly enjoyed this train tour w/our Guide Sofia. She was knowledgeable of the area and a great tour guide. We visited some old towns that we probably wouldn't have known about the old churches and monastery. We even went to a river that was thought to be a 2nd Lordes, so we drank the refreshing & healing water! In summary a great tour to go on and see the Alps in the early Summer.
