Visiting the natural park in the giant crater of Chã das Caldeiras is the main tourist attraction in Cape Verde. It reveals to us one of the most beautiful natural places in the world. From the top of its 2829 meters, this majestic volcano "Pico de Fogo" is the highest point of Cape Verde! Live a unique experience in a lunar landscape of volcanic sand, dotted with vines and endemic plants. This exciting circuit offers a multitude of curiosities, human encounters and sublime breathtaking landscapes. The consequences of Volcan Island's expression, its eruptions, are visible. However, hope is reborn. The astonishing abnegation of the inhabitants gives us a lesson in life. We discover a respectful relationship between man and his volcano. You will have the opportunity to taste the excellent natural products from this volcanic land and its unique microclimate. Wine, coffee and cheese are the products to be tasted on the island.

We had a great tour. Felt like a private tour as we were actually only 2 participants. Our guide John explained everything great in English and he felt he knew everything about the volcano and the eruptions. The food for lunch was fabulous 😍 we stayed at Casa Marisa. All in all, I would always recommend the tour.

We had a great experience thanks to our guide Claudio. During the tour we stopped in several places and explained the history of their island, transmits the love for their culture. The views were stunning, and the lunch stop at Marisa's was a great end to this tour, a very tasty meal in a nice place, I recommend it 100%.

What a fantastic tour. Our driver Claudio was a very careful and safe driver, making us all feel relaxed the entire time. Our English speaking guide Anilton was brilliant, so full of passion, enthusiasm and knowledge. He was a pleasure to be around and to listen to. We all thoroughly enjoyed the day, hearing about the history of the eruptions and seeing the beauty but also the devastation it left behind. The sense of community to rebuild their lives is amazing. There are some parts of walking, but this is not challenging, you also see a couple of sellers of little houses, magnets etc, so take some money with you, if you wish to purchse a souvenir. The tour also takes you to the winery and tasting is a must, then on to the restaurant, where we experienced a lovely tasty dinner of papaya chicken, veg and rice followed by pudding. A fabulous day had by all. Highly recommend 😊👍👏

I wish I could give this more stars. On the tour itself, our guide Milton was so helpful, kind, and knowledgeable about his home country. However, when we booked, we paid an additional $30 usd per person to take a second tour to the Salinas salt pools and a coffee farm at the Monesteiros which also included a stop in Sao Filipe and complimentary boabab juice. Yet, what we received was just a pit stop at the pools on our way back to the hotel. It seems that the second tour promised to us was not communicated to Milton, so he was not at fault. When we explained the discrepancy and asked for a refund, we were told that to make up for what we paid for, they would give us a free ride to the airport from our hotel the next morning and stop at a coffee shop along the way. While that did not make up for what we paid, considering that a taxi back to the airport is not very expensive, we still decided to take it and give them the benefit of the doubt. When it came time to leave for the airport, we were told the coffee shop would be open at that time, but it was closed and instead we were taken by a supermarket to buy a bag of coffee. All in all, the tour was enjoyable, but we felt there was some dishonesty about what we would experience and a disregard for our money and time.

I visited fogo with my mother and aunt. Our experience was extraordinary! On the one hand, they are extremely accommodating. Our flight from Praia arrived at 9:30 am, half an hour after the official start time of the tour. I could very easily contact the agency from France (whatssapp) to report the difficulty. Immediately the agency proposed a tour for the three of us (at no extra cost!) They picked us up directly from the airport and even helped us drop off the bags at the hotel The day was superb. Our guide was LOVELY and fluent in French., He shared a thousand and one information about this island and the lives of Cape Verdeans The lunar landscape is breathtaking We were able to have lunch in a restaurant where the food was excellent and hearty I attach some pictures of this day and our guide that I highly recommend!
