What To Expect
Our one-week beginner surf camp is ideal for first-time surfers. We provide you with all the surf kit, lessons, theory, and personalized feedback to help you spend a week progressing on the waves. Our priority is to make sure you learn to surf in a safe and supportive environment, with group sizes of no more than 6 students per instructor. The surf lessons with our experienced coaches are aimed at newcomers to surfing, providing a thorough introduction from theory through to practice. The lessons will cover the all-important first steps to get you going, starting on the beach and then moving into the water, teaching you how to handle the surfboard, safety in the water, how to read the ocean conditions, paddling, and most importantly catching those waves! Our one-week surf camp is an all-inclusive offering, we take care of your accommodation, meals, daily surfing, airport transfer, and any extra activities. All you have to do is book that flight!

5.00Absolutely amazing experience. Wonderful food, people and waves- what more can you ask for! This was my first solo surf camp and it was fantastic. The instructors were so incredibly patient and celebrated every small win alongside you. What a fantastic time, definitely coming again next year!

5.00We stayed for 4 nights at Shaka Surf and had the most amazing time! Everything was very well organised and we didn’t need to do any of the planning before we arrived. The food was incredible and everyone at the hostel was lovely and made us feel very welcome. Tamraght is a lovely village which we felt very safe in as a group of 6. The hostel itself was clean and comfortable. We felt it was really good value for money and would love to come back again!

5.00I got to know Shaka Surf through a friend. It was my first time in Morocco and I must admit, that this trip, the surf house, instructors and staff exceeded my expectations. The day starts with warm greetings from the staff, delicious breakfast, freshly squeezed fruit juice. Everyday we had a different menu, they cater to specific food allergies, even with the lunch they provide during the surf sessions, how nice is that. Then the day continues with surfing, with the nicest and helpful instructors who cater to your level. They chose specific beaches for all levels, and they take you to different spots, you get to see many beaches around the area. The day ends with the most spectacular dinner, various dishes, and tea and cookies at the end. I enjoyed my stay and highly recommend staying here. By the way, we also had a private mini concert at the house, we danced to Moroccan music, and also watched the Moroccan national team get to the final of the Africa-Cup on a big screen near the house. The trip was a true delight!
Amazing week, you should book Shaka surf 100%.

5.00The whole team at Shaka surf were fantastic. We were beginner surfers, and by the end of the weeks we were loving surfing and both want to surf more. Shaka surf is the perfect mix of learning to surf while also enjoying a ‘holiday vibe’, chilled but also loads of opportunity to learn, practise and improve our surfing. To cap it all, the food served to us was without doubt the best we ate on our whole trip. We tried several restaurants and none were even close to Shaka. We 100% recommend, and hope to be back for more.

5.00My daughter Lily and I had an amazing experience at this surf school in Morocco. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious. A special shout-out to the three chefs who cooked for us both in the morning and at night—they were fantastic! The surf instructors were also excellent, providing great guidance and support. The shuttle service with the surfboards and the van was great, making transportation super convenient. We also enjoyed some nice packed lunches on the beach, which was a great touch. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, and the roof terrace offered stunning views and breathtaking sunsets at the end of each day. Overall, it was a truly memorable stay for both of us! 5.00I spent two unforgettable weeks at this surf spot in Morocco, and honestly, it couldn’t have been better. The food was amazing, the hospitality was unbelievable, and everyone there was just fantastic. I went mainly for surfing, and I managed to surf every single day except one, which we spent sandboarding in the desert (and that was just as fun!). The surf instructors were super friendly and really knew their stuff. Every day we found perfect waves for both beginners and intermediate surfers, it felt like they always knew the right spot to go to. The whole place had that proper, laid-back surf vibe that makes you feel instantly at home. Whether you’re going solo, as a couple, or with a big group, I can’t recommend this place enough. I’m definitely coming back, already dreaming about the next trip!

After checking several options, I decided on Shaka Surf… and now I can say without a doubt that it was the best decision I could have made. The whole team is amazing — they make you feel at home from the very first moment. The facilities are spacious, clean, and super comfortable. The chefs work pure magic in the kitchen, preparing delicious, nourishing meals every day. And best of all, the people I met there, who came from all over the world to share their love for surfing, made this experience truly unforgettable. Without a doubt, Shaka Surf will be my yearly destination to dedicate a week to the ocean, the waves, and that special energy you can only find there.

5.00Incredibly amazing experience as a solo traveler!! Since arriving at the airport till leaving from the airport. Warm welcome and best stay in Shaka. People are incredibly nice and friendly (owners, driver, chefs,instructors). Felt completely safe walking around and exploring. Best experience ever! Will be back for sure!
