Please be ready at your hotel lobby at least 5 minutes in advance of the pick-up time confirmed with you a day before. No-show is non-refundable.

Zhangjiajie National Forest Park
In the morning, your guide will pick you up from your hotel lobby at the time agreed with you. Then let’s set off to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. For your convenience, you can book a hotel near the East Gate of the Park.
BaiLong Elevator
After entering, let’s take the Bailong Elevator, the world’s tallest and fastest outdoor sightseeing lift attached to the cliff, to reach the summit in merely 88 seconds.
Coming out of the elevator, you’ll reach Yuanjiajie Scenic Area. See the ‘Avatar’-filmed Hallelujah Mountain, Back Garden, Enchanting Platform, and No.1 Bridge under Heaven. Lunch is not included. You are recommended to have a hearty breakfast and take some snacks with you for a simple lunch. Fast food is available, like Dicos in Yuanjiajie and McDonald’s at Tianzi Mountain, but sometimes there is a long queue.
Board the eco-bus of the park to Yangjiajie, where dozens of rolling peaks capped with pines stand parallel and resemble a row of stone walls, known as the ‘Natural Great Wall’.
Tianzi Mountain
Let’s take a shuttle of the park to Tianzi Mountain, known as ‘an enlarged bonsai, a minified fairyland’, and a perfect site to see the sea of clouds. Finally, take the cable car down and return to your hotel accompanied by your guide.
In the morning, your guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel and then accompany you on a 40-minute drive to Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon.
Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge
The most thrilling thing that will welcome you is the world’s highest and longest transparent Glass Bridge that spans the canyon. Be brave to walk on it to experience the feeling of strolling in the air while beholding the stunning panorama. Note: Activities like zipline, sightseeing elevator, lake cruise, and bungee jumping are not included in the entrance charge of Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon. We won't be arranging these so we can keep everyone on the same page and stick to our schedule.
Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park
In the afternoon, let's visit the Tianmen Mountain. Witness the most iconic Tianmen Cave, also known as the Heaven’s Gate, experience the cliffside Glass Skywalk (shoe cover expense included), and take the round-trip ropeway. Hold your breath when taking the shuttle on the legendary 99-bend mountain road, and get stunned by the 12-level transmountain escalator.
Zhangjiajie
At the end of the tour, your guide will escort you back to your hotel.

Although the weather was awful and I didn’t get to see everything, our guide Christina was very positive and helpful. She took us to the best spots for pics and go around the crowd. The day after, when the weather was clearer, she kept contact and gave me tips on how to go around myself. Thank you!!

Can’t fault our tour guides (Tina and Liz). Weather was terrible (thick mist, driving rain, cold) so unfortunately we didn’t get to see much. If you’re visiting the Zhangjiajie area, stay at least 4 days to allow for bad weather on 2 of the days.

Our two guides Jimmy and Mia were super helpful and helped the whole group very well to navigate the complexity of two national parks to get the best views possible (shuttle buses, escalators, cable cars). Crowds and queues can be a bit of an issue, but the views are more than worth it and no wonder these sites are popular! Tianmen Mountain, the Glass Bridge and Avatar Mountain are incredible to see with your own eyes and almost mystical!

Our guide for this Kaia made this experience memorable. It was a long hike up and down stairs, and thanks for the escalator in lieu of the 999 steps! Kaia made everything easier. Also, the weather was perfect!

Chan is an exceptional tour guide and we were lucky to have her lead our group. She expertly navigated the crowds and was able to show us the beauty of Zhangjiajie despite the fog. The tour was informative and I had a lot of fun. The itinerary was well-organized and it did not feel tiring, too long or too short.

We booked a two-day small group tour covering the Avatar Mountains, the canyon, and Tianmen Mountain, and overall everything was very well organized. From pickup in the morning to drop-off at the hotel, the logistics were seamless and clearly well managed, which made the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. A special mention goes to our guide on the second day, Liz, who took us through the canyon and Tianmen Mountain. She brought a wonderful energy to the group—warm, engaging, and consistently positive throughout a very long day. Her enthusiasm was contagious and truly enhanced the experience for everyone. Liz was also extremely knowledgeable. She started with a clear and insightful introduction to the region, including the local Tujia culture, and continued to provide context and explanations at every site we visited. Her English was excellent, making everything easy to follow and understand. Despite a full 12-hour day, she remained attentive, proactive, and always smiling. She also took great photos for everyone and made sure each person felt taken care of. Overall, Liz is both a fantastic guide and a genuinely lovely person—we would highly recommend this tour.
