Goreme National Park
Pick up from hotel in Istanbul and transfer to Istanbul Airport OR Sabiha Gokcen Airport. We will arrange early flight either Kayseri Airport OR Nevsehir Airport. It is 1 Hour 20 minutes flight. Once you arrive in you will be met by our driver and you will be taken to Cappadocia which takes another 1 hour. You will be met by our guide and you will start Full Day Tour of, DEVRENT VALLEY : Devrent Valley (also spelled as Dervent Valley) reveals many different rock formations and is only a 10 minute drive from Goreme. The small fairy chimneys in the valley form a lunar landscape, or moonscape, by their strange look. The valley also has many animal shaped rocks. It looks like a sculpture zoo made by nature. Some of the most important, or the easiest seen animal shapes are camel, snake, seals, and dolphin. If you let your imagination run free you will find many others. It is like looking at clouds and seeing a dragon. There is even a rock pillar which looks like Virgin Mary, holding Jesus Christ. MONKS VALLEY : Pasabag in Cappadocia is located on the road to Zelve, coming from Goreme or Avanos. Highly remarkable earth pillars can be seen here, in the middle of a vineyard, hence the name of the place which means: the Pacha’s vineyard. Pacha means “General”, the military rank, in Turkish and it is a very common nick name. This site is also called Monks Valley. The name was derived from some cones carved in tuff stones which stand apart. Currently, there is a vineyard and a number of tuff cones standing right next to the road. AVANOS : The town of Avanos is set on the banks of the Kizilirmak, the Red River. The town is about 8 kilometers (5 miles) from Goreme. Avanos has a lively center with all the usual amenities including a modern, tourist-oriented hamam (Turkish Bath). A large travelling market visits Avanos on Fridays. We suggest a visit to Avanos for individual travelers on Fridays. This tented market has everything for the house, clothing, fruits and vegetables and more. Also you will have a chance to see pottery maiking. GOREME MUSEUM : The Goreme Open-Air Museum resembles a vast monastic complex composed of scores of refectory monasteries placed side-by-side, each with its own fantastic church. It is obviously the first sight to be visited by any traveler in Cappadocia, standing as it does in the very center of the region with easy access from all directions. It is only 15 minutes walk (1.5km, 1 mile) from Goreme village center. It contains the finest of the rock-cut churches, with beautiful frescoes (wall paintings) whose colors still retain all their original freshness. It also presents unique examples of rock hewn architecture and fresco technique. The Goreme Open Air Museum has been a member ofUNESCO World Heritage List since 1984, and was one of the first two UNESCO sites in Turkey. UCHISAR CASTLE : Uchisar is situated at the highest point in Cappadocia, on the Nevsehir-Goreme road, just 5 km from Goreme. The top of the Uchisar Castle, provides a magnificent panorama of the surrounding area with Mount Erciyes in the distance. It will be a panoramic view. No interior visit !

Kaymakli Underground City
04:45 - 05:30 - Pick up from hotel. You will join 1 hour balloon ride. After the balloon tour you will be taken back to hotel. Breakfast & Check out. Full Day Cappadocia Tour 2 of , KIZILCUKUR VALLEY : One of the nicest and most most beautiful places to go walking in Cappadocia in in Red and Rose Valley . The two valleys are next to each other and are easily combined. Start at Sunset point (near Ortahisar) and hike down through first Red Valley and then continue on the Rose Valley. CAVUSİN VİLLAGE : After our wanderings through Swords and Rose Valleys on our second day in the Göreme area, we arrived in Çavuşin village. It was a lovely quiet village and had some amazing sites to visit. The ‘old’ village, now abandoned, was all carved into the hillside. I’m not really sure how old the settlement is, but it’s definitely been around for a long, long time. All the buildings and churches and homes of the village were within the hill and were probably connected internally via tunnels and such. As we wandered around the ruins and took in the amazing view of the plains and hills stretching all the way to the horizon, I could understand why people living here would want to burrow into the mountains. Basically, if you lived out here in a village in Cappadocia, you were on your own. If raiders or brigands or enemy armies or whatever arrived in the area, there was really no one to help you. It must have been a strange and precarious life, living in such isolation. So, these villages built into the rock must have been much more secure and difficult to attack or raid than if the people just lived in houses on the plain. UNDERGRAUND CITY : is built under the hill known as the Citadel of Kaymakli and was opened to visitors in 1964. The people of Kaymakli (Enegup in Greek) village have constructed their houses around nearly one hundred tunnels of the underground city. The inhabitants of the region still use the most convenient places in the tunnels as cellars, storage areas and stables, which they access through their courtyards. The Kaymakli Underground City has low, narrow and sloping passages. While the underground city consists of 8 floors below ground, only 4 of them are open to the public today, in which the spaces are organized around ventilation shafts. PIGEON VALLEY : Pigeon valley is situated between Göreme and Uçhisar and is ideal for walking, as the trek is relatively easy. The name comes from the thousands of pigeon houses that have been carved into the soft tuff since ancient times. Although they can be found throughout Cappadocia, they are especially numerous in this valley. They were carved wherever space allowed, including abandoned cave houses and churches. In Cappadocia, pigeons have long been a source of food and fertilizer. The advent of chemical fertilizers has reduced the use of pigeon dung. However, some farmers still maintain their lofts because they insist that the reputation of Cappadocian fruits as the sweetest and most succulent in Turkey is entirely due to pigeon dung. After the tour, you will be taken to airport and flight to Istanbul. Met on arrival, transfer to your hotel in Istanbul.

Amazing morning. Had difficulty getting in and out of the basket, but with help made it. And it was definitely worth it. The views were incredible. It felt like we were with the birds soaring above the land. Only two complaints, sometimes the music was distracting from the views and the flight was too short. But overall I recommend that if you have the opportunity, take this tour.

We booked our tour with Turkland and spent a week in Turkey. It turned out to be a private tour and everything was well organised by Ibrahim. He welcome us on our arrival and checked on us almost daily via whatsapp to ensure that we were happy with everything. We had a few different guides throughout our tour and they were all fantastic. All hotels and meals provided were above our expectations and we highly recommend Turkland Tours. We would give 6 stars if we could!

I loved to see that spectacular geography and especially the incredible underground city as they have been able to do all those passageways and how well organized it was, also the caverns with the images of Christ. The trip to the balloon with a lot of sorrow we hit sandstorm and we were unable to enjoy that experience that would be good to recommend travelers to stay more days xq 2 days is very little

I rarely write reviews and only do so when something has exceeded my expectations, and Turkland Travel has done just that. As an avid traveler, having visited almost 90 countries now, it’s hard to impress me anymore.... but the level of service, attention to detail, constant communication and quality of tour options presented to us by Turkland was truly unbelievable... and of course Cappadocia itself is spectacular! Thank you to Ibrahim in Istanbul, and Yagmur and Canan in Urgup for making our visit absolutely unforgettable.
