After breakfast (around 7:30 AM), your safari guide will pick you up from the hotel. By 10:00 AM, you will reach Tarangire and start your first safari day! In the dry season, the Tarangire River becomes the only source of drinking water for many kilometers around. Because of this, large herds of elephants come to Tarangire, making Tarangire the home to the largest population of elephants in Northern Tanzania for most of the year (especially June - October and December - March). Elephants are not at all intimidated by visitors to the park, and they often come quite close to cars. This is completely safe - since elephants have no enemies in their natural nature they are naturally curious and unafraid. Tarangire National Park is also known for its ancient baobab trees. These massive trees are larger and older than any other park in continental Africa. The scenery, accented with these signatory trees is simply stunning.

The legendary Ngorongoro Crater! Here you will witness tens of thousands of wild animals living in the massive crater left by a huge ancient volcano. The actual crater is relatively small, when you consider that it is home to the most variety of animals per square meter than anywhere else in the world! Here, you are sure to see a great number of animals within close proximity to one another. The descent into the crater will take about half an hour of driving. The road passes through beautiful, lush forests with great scenery. After your morning game drive around the crater, you will stop at the picnic area next to Lake Magadi for a snack and rest. One of the draws of Lake Magadi are the hippos that live in the area. You’re sure to enjoy watching them while you eat lunch. Due to the large number of animals and endemic plants, Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and renowned for its natural significance in the world.

5.00Our safari experience was truly unforgettable, and a huge part of that was thanks to our guide, Logo. Logo was incredibly patient and took the time to answer every single question my boyfriend asked and there were many! His knowledge about wildlife was exceptional, and it was clear that this was not just information from a book, but something he genuinely cared about and lived every day. His English was excellent, making communication easy and enjoyable, and he explained things in a way that was both informative and engaging. What stood out the most was his deep love and respect for the animals. You could really feel his passion in the way he observed them, talked about their behavior, and ensured we experienced the safari responsibly. On top of that, Logo was a very careful and safe driver, which made us feel comfortable and relaxed throughout the entire journey. That allowed us to fully enjoy the wildlife and the beautiful landscapes without any stress. Thanks to Logo, our safari was not just about seeing animals it was about understanding them and appreciating the environment they live in. I would highly recommend Logo to anyone looking for a meaningful, educational, and well-guided safari experience.

5.00We finished our amazing two days safari experience with Logolie Milya “Logo”. It has been one of the most exquisite and joyful trips for a vacation. He is both friendly and skillful when we were traversing through the two national parks. We enjoyed many laughters and wildlife knowledge together. And most importantly, he knows how to find them! We have seen all the “big five” as result and time just fly by so quickly. He has set up a very safe and easy environment for us, highly recommended.

5.00Two day safari was absolutely spectacular. I went for a private 2-day safari with my little brother to Tarangire Park and Ngorongoro Crater with Elirehama (“Ray”) and he was such a joy! He clearly enjoys his job and taught us about Tanzania and its culture on our drive to the parks. He was also extremely knowledgeable about the animals. We were able to see ALL of the big 5 in just two days! He also made sure that we were fed, had enough to drink, and periodically checked to see if we needed to make any pit stops along the way. Would love to go again someday. Recommend requesting Ray if you’re interested in going on the safari!

5.00Our trip to Tanzania was far above expectations. Great lodges, especially Ngoro Sera one, wonderful views and proper safari experience. The guide was professional and made us a very comfortable experience. 4/5 animals out of the big African five were seen. All our problems were smoothly solved. I strongly recommend going to Tanzania with Alteza.

5.00My husband and I went toTanzania (Safari + Kilimanjaro + Zanzibar) for our honeymoon. Honestly, Altezza made all the difference. They helped us organize absolutely everything! Mary from the office was super responsive, got back to us on all of our requests right away. The two day Safari we had was absolutely perfect. The entire adventure, from start to finish, was organized (EXTREMELY EFFICIENTLY) by Altezza. I originally contacted them just for Kilimanjaro and thought, hey, why not add a Safari as well? They helped me with lodging (the most amazing and beautiful mountain lodges I have ever stayed at) and all the transfers to/from airports, etc. The Safari itself was literally the coolest thing we ever did. Our guide Karim was incredibly knowledgeable, super fun and communicative, and we had the best time with him. We hit it off right away and spent two wonderful days learning about each other's cultures and languages. He taught us so many Swahili words, all about the animals and places and tribes we were seeing, and it was a pleasure to get to know him. The Safari itself was mind-blowing. The animals are fascinating, the scenery is nothing like what we had ever seen, and we loved every second of it. I only wish we had more time in Tanzania! Please book this tour.

5.00We arranged our whole trip via Altezza, this included a private group climb to Kilimanjaro Summit via Marangu Route, 2 day stay at an alternative hotel and a 2 day Safari trip with a stay in a Safari Lodge. Prior to booking, Altezza provided detailed information about the various options for our trip, adapting this to meet our individual needs. The trip coordinator, Denis, was extremely helpful and had good knowledge and advice to guide us throughout our booking to ensure we made the most of our trip. Communication throughout was excellent, this included instructions prior to arriving, including a detailed itinerary, details of what to expect and packing lists for all planned activities. The communication continued throughout our trip with regular text messages confirming arrangements and check in’s to see how our trip was progressing. The trip was well organised and couldn’t have gone any smoother, from airport transfers to hotel transfers and trips. All staff from trip coordinators, guides, porters, chefs and drivers were incredible. Safari – We had two sub groups which were completing different activities. We completed a 2 day Safari at Tarangire National Park and Ngorongoro Conservation Area (Ngorongoro Crater). Our guide Daniel was fantastic, he had bounds of knowledge about the area and the animals. He went above and beyond to ensure we managed to see as much as possible and incredibly we managed to see all of the Big Five!!! Lunch was provided on both days of the Safari. We had an overnight stay at MaweMawe Safari Lodge. The food was included and of an incredible standard. The only thing that let the place down was slightly run down rooms. The whole group can say that Altezza were absolutely incredible and the trip would not have been the same without them. I couldn’t recommend Altezza enough, our experience has been amazing.

5.00We booked a dive + safari package with Afro Divers in Pemba. Their partner was Altezza. What an amazing experience Altezza gave us! We were not expecting a private safari and we had the car to ourselves. Our safari guide was Adam, and he is AMAZING. I would specifically ask for Adam if you are booking with Altezza. He knew every single animal in Tarangire and Ngorongoro including every single bird. He explained to us how the animals behave, how they migrate, and all kinds of other fun facts. He brought his telephoto camera and even sent us the pictures he took that are a thousand times better quality than our iPhone photos! We were super impressed with the hotels that Altezza booked us. Ngare Sero mountain lodge is one of the most beautiful properties i've ever seen! There was beer/cocktails available at every hotel which is a critical component to a good vacation. The food was amazing every day! Altezza has this dialed. They have a Whatsapp team that reaches out to you asking how things are going and if you have any issues. Adam + the other hotel shuttle drivers were on time or early every single day. Side note: We had a guest at our hotel that booked a different Kili trip with Altezza and she said it was top tier. Altezza if you read this I think you should expand outside of Tanzania because we would book you for any other Africa countries we go to next.

5.00Altezza made our 2 day safari trip so easy! We were picked up from the airport and taken directly to our hotel by a kind driver. The accommodations they arranged were AMAZING. The hotel itself was beautiful on spacious land and the food was a full course meal. Our safari guide, Adam, picked us up the next morning and took us for our first safari in Tarangire. He was extremely knowledgeable, kind and a great driver. He knew all of the various routes and was patient when we wanted to stop and view certain animals for a prolonged period of time. They provided a hot lunch during the day for both safaris located at beautiful view points. We were then taken to our second hotel which, just like the first one, was absolutely stunning and the food was great. The second morning we went to the Ngorongoro Crater which was beautiful and full of life. Again, Adam was great and knowledgeable about all of the animals and went out of his way to try and located the most sought after animals and views. He also taught us about the area as a whole, the people who live there, the history, etc. We could not recommend Altezza (and Adam!) enough if you’re planning a trip to Tanzania! We also heard they are great with Kilimanjaro tours as well, as we met many people who used them.

5.00Fabulous safari. We saw so many animals and had a great time. Everything was very well organised - could not have asked for anything more. The food and accommodation were great. Absolutely recommend Altezza Travel - from initial query to booking everything was brilliant. We travelled from NZ and also climbed My Kilimanjaro with Altezza and they could not have been better to deal with at all times.
