Your safari begins with a pickup from your Arusha hotel or Kilimanjaro Airport at approximately 8:00 AM. After a 2-hour drive, you will arrive at the Tarangire gate for your first game drive. Tarangire is famous for its massive herds of elephants and the iconic, ancient Baobab trees that dot the landscape. What makes this park unique is the Tarangire River, which serves as the primary water source for wildlife in the region. During your drive, you can expect to see lions, giraffes, zebras, and buffaloes gathering near the water. It is a birdwatcher’s paradise with over 550 species, providing a wild and authentic bush experience before you head to your accommodation for the evening.

On the second day, you will drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for a spectacular game drive inside the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. This park is unique because it is a self-contained ecosystem with walls 600 meters high, acting as a natural enclosure for over 25,000 large animals. It is one of the best places in Africa to see the "Big Five" in a single day, especially the rare black rhino. You can expect to see dense populations of lions, hyenas, wildebeests, and vibrant pink flamingos at Lake Magadi on the crater floor. After an afternoon of wildlife viewing, you will ascend the crater rim and drive back to Arusha town or the airport for your departure.

5.00If I have one Chance to leave one sentence for this company is "Travel Tanzania with Tanzania Songbirds Safaris that you can feel welcoming home" even a sentence isn't enough for their great service we had with them, Their effort since we started to plan for this program, the team helped us to make sure we settle everything well. On our safari during the game drive we spot many animals, including our favorites, elephants, lions and pumba (Warthog). From our Knowledgeable guide, Erick we learn so much about wild animal behavior and interesting facts, Thanks to the staff at our lodge of Marera Valley Lodge, and the meal is okay. I recommend Tanzania Songbirds Safaris for unforgettable safari in all of Tanzania.

5.00It's one of the most beautiful experiences of safaris we have in Africa, We went on a safari in Kenya for 3 days, but Tanzania safaris is top notch and above and beyond this is a great destination to visit in Tanzania. Our experience and safari in Tarangire national park and Ngorongoro Crater we saw a lot of animals, this lucky 2 days safari we saw a lot of predators include also 4 out of big 5, I'm sure we will come one day in Tanzania again for more adventure and discover Serengeti and hope to see leopard and cheetah., that our animals we miss to saw on the last safaris. Thanks so much to our best Tanzania guide, Mr.Erick who dedicates these 2 days for taking us to the parks., your knowledge, driving skills, and sharing with us the knowledge you have about wildlife is excellent. 5.00We have a good time in Safari in Tarangire and Ngorongoro Crater and we feel connected with nature. Our guide was incredible with high knowledge, experience and made this trip a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. We started our safari on day one in Tarangire national park and we saw a lot of animals just on day one This includes many of Zebras, giraffe, elephants and other antelope. Our stay in Karatu village was good and we enjoyed everything including the water, coffee and meals. The second day we went to Ngorongoro Crater (One of the natural wonders of the world), must see place before you leave Africa, the crater floor has a high concentration of the wildlife, including rare Black rhinoceros, the pride of elephants, big elephant bulls, and many animals, that whatever you turn your eyes you see the animals, our guide told us is about (2,500 to 3,000 population of the big mammals on the crater). With Tanzania Songbirds Safaris, plan your trip and make an unforgettable experience in Safari in Tanzania, This I definitely recommend.

5.00We had 2 days, 1 night safari in Tanzania with Songbirds safaris, in January 2026, Our guide driver is pick-up at our hotel in Arusha town and started with the best briefing for our safaris. Our driver guide (Erik) was amazing, he knew a lot, was very helpful and patient. We did, Tarangire and Ngorongoro Crater. We saw a lot of animals that we don't have in our country., Erik is very honest and has a lot of knowledge about animals. The accommodations, and the meals are all good. We recommend Tanzania songbirds safaris and with our guide Erik.

5.00Everything about our safari was the best. Erick and Israel were extremely helpful in everything arranged in pre-trip. The whole experience was one of the best vacations I've ever been on. The interesting facts, animals in nature, very welcoming people and good arrangements of the trip make the best of this trip. 5.00A very interesting experience in Northern Tanzania Safari, we had an amazing game drive. We get more than our expectations, the company provides much details for the safari, it was our first experience on Africa safari and we are happy to get host by the local tour company and everything was wonderful, you have nothing to worry about. We pre-booked this tour and all communication was perfect and we were really happy for the help and support of all needed to know before safari and experience Tanzania. Our first destination we went to Tarangire and we saw a lot of elephants, I have never seen them in my life in such a close distance and so many wild animals include Lions, and many that I can't mention all here,. The prepared lunch box is good that we ate at one of the picnic sites, we enjoyed visiting the gallery, which was on the way to Karatu village and where we overnight in Marera Lodge at Karatu village. On our second and last day on safari we went to the magnificent Ngorongoro crater where we saw a lot of animals in just a close distance, we feel different parts of the world to be in Ngorongoro crater and so many animals include the rare Black rhinoceros from far distance. Thanks to our driver guide Erick, who drives and shows us all the places in the game drive and tells us about Tanzania. Tanzania Songbirds Safaris, is the company to travel with, I recommend them for a wonderful safari experience in all of Tanzania.

It's so beautiful and honored to travel in Tanzania with a songbirds safari, We booked a 2-day safari, and our destination was Tarangire national park and Ngorongoro crater, we couldn't believe we saw a lot of animals in the beautiful paradise nature of Africa, our guide is top notch., he shared with us a lot of stories about Tanzania, nature and his life in general, Our mid-range accommodation for one night in Karatu was the best and we enjoyed all the meals for 2 days. 5.00Honestly this 2 days safari with Songbirds Safaris deserves more than a star. We had an incredible 2 day safari of a game drive in with our host company (Tanzania Songbirds Safaris) and with our best experienced wildlife guide Erick, we were satisfied with all service from the company in our safari experience. In our pre-planning of this safari to Tanzania, the operator from songbirds Safaris was friendly, patient and catered to all our needs. Erick worked incredibly hard to ensure that we saw every animal in our bucket lists and with his good experience, connection with fellow drivers guides through radio call, he found a lot of animals in the parks, he ensured by his luck and effort we saw everything we wanted to see and we loved the mere he's passionate about Tanzania wildlife for the great knowledge. I definitely recommend it.
