Visit the artisanal village, home to local artists displaying wares including clothing, textiles, drums, jewelry, sculpture and painting. Continue to St Louis and check to hotel. Later on, visit Senegal’s colonial capital also titled Senegal’s cultural center and home to the annual Saint Louis international Jazz Festival. Visit the city on a horse-drawn carriage and explore the narrow streets flanked by houses with carved wooden balconies and veranda learning about Senegal history. National Park of the Langue de Barbarie
Spend the day with a visit to the Djoudj National Bird Park. It was one of the most important bird sanctuaries in the world. Located at the significant Palearctic migratory route and is a paradise for bird enthousiasts, world’s highest concentration of white flamingos, various songbirds and more. You will also see crocodiles, boas, boars, and other wildlife. During the month of June to October, the Djoudj Park is always closed due to unbearable reasons. However, if you travel at that time, the Park experience will be replaced by a cruise on “Langue de Barbarie. It is a narrow peninsula separating the Atlantic Ocean and Senegal River where you can watch river birds and several species of turtles including the endangered Hawksbill sea turtle. The landscapes are particular and I would say unforgettable, the journey by car is special because the road is a real track but being able to get there, see a fantastic show, and return is a real adventure worth telling. IT'S WORTH IT!
