What To Expect
Enhance your mangrove experience with our 2-hour kayak and snorkeling adventure! Building on the highlights of the 1-hour tour, this extended journey takes you deeper into the mangrove ecosystem, allowing you to explore a larger area and uncover its magical underwater world. Guided by a certified expert, you’ll paddle to an exclusive snorkeling spot accessible only by kayak. Spend approximately 25 minutes marveling at vibrant marine life and the intricate ecosystems hidden beneath the surface. On your return, keep an eye out for sea turtles gliding gracefully through the clear waters, a perfect ending to an unforgettable experience. Discover the hidden treasures of Bonaire’s mangroves on this one of a kind eco-tour.

No Pick-up: This option does not include pick-up or drop-off. Guests are expected to arrive at the Mangrove Center on their own.
Price with pick up and return
Pick-up: Pick-up is available at all hotels, cruise ports, resorts, and Airbnbs on Bonaire, except in Rincon. Pickup included

5.00The tour was very informative and friendly and relaxed. We also enjoyed snorkelling and seeing juvenile fish. Watching the turtles in the shallows as we paddled by was a bonus.

5.00Beautiful, unspoiled mangroves, with great underwater life that is different from what you see in the reefs - so, it is a complimentary trip to your expected underwater activities. As a wonderful bonus, many flamingos near the Center, grown-up and young, so you can see how they change the color when they grow. Very well organized, with a friendly and knowledgeable guide.

1.00Informed personally at the center if we could do this because we are heavy and hardly exercise. No problem according to them. Don't if you're not fit. You have to cross large areas of open water with large currents 3 times. That's quite a challenge. We were not helped and had to see that we got there. Missed all explanations because they left immediately for the next piece. We passed this on to the supervisor afterwards and the reaction was: well, if you can’t keep up and arrive last then you miss the explanation!

5.00Sister trip, and we added the Mangrove Tour to the top of our list before we even arrived — and we are so glad we did! Our guide was absolutely incredible with our group and so knowledgeable about the area. The mangroves were fascinating to kayak through, and heading across Lac Bay with the beautiful water was breathtaking. Even more amazing was the opportunity to snorkel through the mangroves and see so many fish. We even got a glimpse of a turtle! Our guide truly made our experience comfortable, exciting, and such a wonderful part of our trip to Bonaire.

5.00We had a fantastic visit to the mangroves. Our guide Tim was really knowledgeable and gave us great insight into this unique environment. The kayaks were very comfortable and we saw many fish, turtles and birds. Would highly recommend.

4.00Guide gave good nature education before and during the tour. Easy kayak although a group is always awkward. Check with them about any suggestions re: tides and visibility before you schedule. Saw a lot even though it was a bit murky. Fresh water shower after was good.
