5.00This was, without a doubt, the best excursion of my entire trip! Our guide, Martin, was fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about the area. On the drive from Prague, he pointed out interesting landmarks and shared information that made the journey just as enjoyable as the hike itself. The excursion was amazing. The views were absolutely breathtaking, and the boat ride through the gorge was peaceful, relaxing, and full of interesting information. Martin did a great job keeping everyone engaged throughout the day. The included lunch was delicious and a nice break during the hike. One thing to keep in mind is that there are quite a few stairs and some steep sections along the trail, so parts of the hike can be challenging. That said, the scenery is well worth the effort. I also really appreciated Martin’s kindness when I took a tumble on the trail. He quickly helped me with some basic first aid and made sure I was okay before we continued. He even bought me an ice cream cone to I make me feel better!😄 I can’t recommend this excursion highly enough. It was the highlight of my trip, and I would absolutely do it again.

Excellent English speaker, besides excelent driver. The tour was amazing. Excellent transportation. Snacks on board. Northern Hikes team chose an excellent restaurant with local food.

5.00Was a great overall experience, from pickup to seeing the different sights, a very delicious lunch and great care taken by Timmy our guide! The nature is absolutely stunning, the walks were great, a bit hard but doable for an amateur hiker. I would have to say the group pacing was really quick and a bit too fast for me, but that really just depends on the group you’re with.
Timmy was amazing; full day of hiking and sightseeing.

5.00I think the primary question many will face is whether you can get a comparative experience for a cheaper price if you do this your yourself instead of with a group. I'm here to say just go with the tour. Marek was a great guide who gave fun history facts along the way, brought us to have a great meal (best ginger lemonade I've had in the Czech republic!) and was overall a very thorough guide prepared for any situation (down to wet socks!). It's theoretically possible to do this yourself with a car (I would not bother with public transport) but you need a strong sense of where to go because the places are quite spaced out, especially the last one where you need to cross the border into Germany. Between the transport, the meal, and the overall guiding I would say this was quite worth it.
