It is the place where the famous king TutAnkhAmun was buried and found with all of his treasures!
Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari
Hatshepsut's temple is one of the world’s most striking architectural masterpieces, but perhaps even more noteworthy is the woman who commissioned it. She was the first woman ever to rule Egypt. But how was she bale to do so? How come no one dared to refuse her or strike against? Well this is our story that we will tell once we get there.
Colossi of Memnon
Before finishing your west bank tour you will stop by the colossi of Memnon, the 2 singing statues. Sadly they stopped singing! How did solid statues use to sing or make a sound? And why did they stop? Our endless interesting stories about Egypt and the sites you will visit will keep impressing you.
Temple of Karnak

Each statue and part of it has a story behind. Enjoy watching the massive hall of columns with a total number of 134 columns, it's the largest one all over! continue seeing the gigantic scarab beetle, big obelisks and the sacred lake of the temple. Our guide will ensure that you know the story and the history of the place then leave you to enjoy the place in peace and take pictures.
Luxor Temple
Here you walk back in time the deeper you go into it. In front of the temple is the beginning of the Avenue of Sphinxes that ran all the way to the temples at Karnak 3km to the north, and is now almost entirely excavated. The outer part of this temple was built by Ramses the second while the inner part was done by Amenophes the third. Alexander the great as well added his own touch and reconstructed the altar and put deceptions of him on the walls of this temple

Temple of Kom Ombo
Kom Ombo temple is standing on high grounds overlooking The Nile. It differs from other temples because of its double entrance, each one is dedicated to divinity: “Haroeris” with his falcon head and “Sobek” with his crocodile head. The Temple of Kom Ombo was built on the honor of two deities the crocodile-headed Sobek. Then head to the crocodile museum to see a few mummified crocodiles (ticket for the museum is included).

Thank you for a wonderful experience!!! Our group of 9 was very delighted to have George as our guide... excellent tour guide: extremely knowledgeable, professional, super friendly, and spoke English at an amazing level (better than me who lives in UK over 20 years😅). Even when unexpected issues arose, he showed genuine care and help. He was easy to communicate with, always punctual, and the transfer vehicles were air-conditioned and comfortable. We managed to see a lot in just a few days, and thanks to our excellent guide, the trip was truly memorable. We learned so much about Egypt!

We were a group of seven friends from Belgium, Spain, Portugal, and Croatia, and had an unforgettable experience with Golden Luxor Tours! Everything was private and perfectly arranged, from our visits in Luxor (Karnak Temple and other impressive temples), to Abu Simbel, a magical desert safari with the Bedouins, where we even slept under the night sky, and finally Cairo (the Giza Pyramids and the Egyptian Museum). They also took care of all our transfers, making the whole journey smooth and stress-free. The team was always reachable, very flexible when we wanted to change timings or add extra activities, and everything was handled with care and professionalism. Our guides were extremely knowledgeable and friendly — special thanks to George, our guide in Luxor and Abu Simbel, and Jaja (sorry if that’s spelled wrong!) in Cairo, who both brought the rich history of Egypt to life. We couldn’t have wished for a better trip. Highly recommended if you want to explore Egypt comfortably, privately, and with true local warmth!

Golden Luxor Tours organised the private transport, internal flights, entrances and guides for our holiday in Egypt in April 2025 (we booked the hotels ourselves). They listened to our requests, gave advice and tailor made the itinerary to our requirements. We travelled with 2 children so they ensured that the days were not too full with travel and site visits. Communication while planning and during the trip was constant and clear both via email and WhatsApp. We had various drivers all whom drove calmly and safety. In Cairo our guide was Nader Francis who was very enthusiastic and great with our children. In Aswan, Kom-Ombo and Luxor our guide was Bishoy George who was very attentive and professional. Both were very knowledgeable about the historical sites, focused on showing us the absolute highlights and rarities, all the while ensuring that the visits were paced to our needs. Every time we walked past the large groups tourists who all looked bored with their fixed agenda and time I was grateful that we booked a private trip! Francis and Bishoy also helped us avoid the overpriced food and drink vendors at the historical sites and took us to local stores to buy refreshments. They also gave us good advice on the level of tips to give and when. Thanks to Golden Luxor Tours we had an unforgettable trip and would use them if we came to Egypt again.

George is much more than just a great tour guide. He makes you feel comfortable and is fun and attentive. He has sharp knowledge of ancient Egypt, the facts, the stories, the myths, the anecdotes, and is equally competent to discuss Egypt of today. We spent a few days with George from Abu Simbel to Aswan and Luxor. Unforgettable moments. Perfect logistics, always on time, everything “fluid”.

We were a group of six people (four adults, two teenagers) and did a 11-night / 12-day private tour with Golden Luxor Tours in Egypt. We spent eight days touring with them and the last three days relaxing in Hurghada on our own. During the eight touring days with Golden Luxor Tours, we covered: - Giza day trip from Cairo - Alexandria day trip from Cairo - Coptic Cairo (half-day) - Philae Temple at Aswan (half-day) - Abu Simbel day trip from Aswan - Kom Ombo & Edfu en route from Aswan to Luxor - Luxor West Bank - Luxor East Bank (half-day), with drop-off at Hurghada We booked the hotels and flights ourselves, as we preferred that. From airport pick-up in Cairo for two separate arrivals in our group, to all the sightseeing over the eight touring days, to drop-off at our hotel in Hurghada and the final airport transfer there, Golden Luxor Tours made the experience seamless. They were always extremely punctual. They were flexible and accommodated our needs, such as starting a little later in the morning, rest stops, or spending extra time at places or souvenir shopping. They provided good, air-conditioned, spacious vehicles that were cleaned daily. The drivers, Ahmad and Hani, were polite and drove carefully. Ours was a tailor-made itinerary, and George helped plan and revise it to suit our preferences. Communication was prompt—both during the planning and while we were on the trip. The guides—Mario, Francis and George—were English-speaking Egyptologists who answered many of our questions, from ancient Egypt to modern-day life and politics. They also looked after all the logistics (tickets, restaurants etc). Our only critique is the tipping. The expected tip worked to 18.7% of the package cost. It was told to us just two weeks in advance and not before booking. The service was excellent, but we felt a 10–12% tip would have been more reasonable so that's what we paid. All in all, it was a 5-star service. We would definitely use Golden Luxor Tours again and recommend them to everyone!

Egypt was a bucket list Destination for me. I wanted to see and learn about the Ancient Egyptians. I had a short but complicated itinerary. I read extensively about local Egyptian tour companies. I saw positive reviews for Golden Luxor tours on Reddit and Trip Advisor but noticed they had few reviews. I reached out to multiple companies. I found Golden Luxor tour to be most accommodating, reasonably priced, responsive, and non pressuring. George was our point of contact. Throughout our travels he regularly checked in with us and followed up with all of my requests. Their Egyptologist and guides (Francis, Mariam, George) were kind, accommodating, and speak fantastic English. While the company is new due to which they have few reviews, their staff are highly experienced and provide guest centered care. Our vehicles were in great shape with great air conditioning. Both our drivers drove carefully and safely. Our Hot air balloon ride in Luxor was cancelled on the initially scheduled day due to bad weather. I asked George to change our schedule so we do not lose any time. George quickly accommodated my request. He also contacted the Hot air ballon company and rescheduled us for the next day. Their tours are truly private and customized. They did not take us to any stores as per my instructions. This was a very relaxed vacation for our family thanks to Golden Luxor Tour. I will refer my friends and family to this company without any hesitation.

A friend and I visited Egypt at the beginning of February (a great time to explore, considering weather and crowds). We started in Cairo, and explored the sites on our own, and then flew to Luxor to meet George from Golden Luxor Tours for a condensed guided 2-day tour including the best of Luxor and a road-trip to Aswan. Honestly, if I were to do it again (which I will, probably with family), I would definitely ask Golden Luxor Tours to help us out right from the beginning. We are relatively experienced travellers, but George and his team were so knowledgeable, available, and accommodating, that it really added a lot of depth and comfort to our trip. At each site we visited, George gave us a great intro, and then gave us ample time to explore on our own. We really tried to squeeze everything we could into our 4 days in Egypt, and George's team was always willing and able to work with us to maximize our experience—even making last minute tweaks to our plans. If you're thinking of visiting Egypt, don't hesitate to approach Golden Luxor Tours. Next time, I hope we can incorporate a Nile cruise.

There are not enough adjectives to tell you how good a tour guide George is! Egyptian history is mind-blowing and George explains it with such enthusiasm and in layman terms too, his was one of the best tours I have ever been on. His knowledge is second to none and he patiently answered all of my endless questions! I only wish we could have spent more time with him. Many thanks George!

This tour was amazing! It was truly unforgettable to witness the wonders of ancient Egypt. The best part of our experience was our guide George. He was so knowledgeable about everything Egypt and could answer all of our many questions. You could really see his love for Egypt and its history throughout the tour. He went above and beyond making sure we always felt safe and got everything we wanted to do done. From seeing ancient sites to hot air ballooning over Luxor to guiding us through the market in Aswan George was able to coordinate it all! By the end of the trip he felt like part of the family. He definitely does more than your average guide. I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone!

George with Golden Luxor Tours is the best! He is very knowledgeable and friendly. We visited Karnak, Luxor, Valley of the Kings, Queen Hatshepsut, Edfu and Kom Ombo. He explained the meaning of the carvings and hieroglyphics. That made it so much more meaningful to understand what we were seeing. I would highly recommend this tour.
