Stroll leisurely through the forest of Denali National Park. As you walk, listen to your guide talk about the plants, animals, ecology, geology, and more that make Denali unique. Taste the bounty of edible berries that pepper Denali's forests.
Your guide is a true expert. Not a mid-rate guide who knows a few fun facts. They're a Naturalist who's prepared to answer any question you throw at them. They're ready for wildlife encounters with bear spray and good training. They have a Wilderness First Responder certification, making them better prepared than an EMT for an emergency in the backcountry. See? I told you they were an expert.
This is your chance to experience Alaska up close and personal. Your chance to feel the peat moss that so few do. Taste the elusive and legendary cloudberries. This is more than a walk. It's an all expenses paid teleportation into the inner workings of Denali National Park.

Enjoyed the Nature Hike with Jade in the Denali National Park. Jade was extremely knowledgeable of local plants and flora, learned many new things about the Alaska native plants. We sampled a variety of native berries and got to watch a squirrel rustle off with a mushroom, really fun! The pace was leisurely so we were able to enjoy the nature.

This was a great casual short hike for any level of ability. Jade rocks as a guide. He had tons of information and knowledge about Denali. He made the hike super fun, entertaining, and informative. We loved trying the edible berries he showed us too.

Highly recommend the 3 hour naturalist hike curated by Northern Epics! My husband and I recently returned from a trip to Denali and found Jade to be an impressive guide who filled our 3 - hour journey with tons of information regarding the botanical, geological and historical components of this magical region of Alaska. We had ample opportunity to stop and observe, touch and often taste some of the local plants and berries. The hike was quite personalized based on our interests and abilities and Jade was not only knowledgeable but very entertaining along the way. I cannot recommend this local company enough!! They were great with communication leading up to the hike and responded immediately to contacts and questions. Don't miss this opportunity to explore Denali within the park by an experienced guide. I'm not usually good about leaving reviews, but after spending 10 days in Alaska, I am quite grateful to the local experts who share their love and respect for this beautiful place and want to share it with others.

Our guide Jade was fantastic. He is so personable and knowledgeable. Can’t believe how much I learned in only 3 hours. Wish it could’ve been longer! Jade went out of his way to be sure all of us saw even the smallest parts of the forest. Highly recommend.

Went on the 3 hour naturalist walking tour in Denali park. Our tour guide was Jade. This was a very easy walk so not a lot is needed. Total mileage as measured by my GPS was 1.7 miles at 2 hours 15 minutes. Jade provided snacks, water and walking sticks. My wife and I walk a lot so didn’t need them but frankly this was a very easy trail. Jade is a fountain of knowledge about the natural wonders found in the park. We stopped about every 500 feet as he described the plants and animals found in the boreal ecosystem. He’s a humorous young man not afraid to throw in a few “Dad jokes” along the way. I will forever remember his squirrel story. Too funny ! If you book this tour ask for Jade. You’ll have a wonderful time, get a little exercise and learn a lot

We took this tour while staying in Denali National Park prior to going on a cruise. Our guide, Don, was very entertaining and very knowledgeable about the trees and small plants along the trail. There were 6 people in the tour, all of us in our sixties (and maybe older), but Don set a good pace and stopped several times along the route for rest and questions/answers. We all agreed the tour was well worth the price! Good job. Don!

This walking tour was wonderful! I had not participated with many tours because I wanted to avoid more touristy things, and I wanted to make sure any that I did connected me to the beauty of this park - and this tour did all the above. Jade was incredible - from the funny puns and dad jokes to the vast amounts of knowledge he shared along the way. He was incredibly informed, kind, and an absolute joy to walk with and learn from!
