What To Expect

If you are looking for the best game viewing experience close to Johannesburg or Pretoria but have limited time, then the Pilanesberg day tour will be a trip for you. Enjoy the abundance of wildlife from an open vehicle experience on a guided game drive of Pilanesberg National Park. Upon arrival an experienced field guide will collect you from the Visitors Centre on a 4X4 open Safari vehicle for a 3 hour guided game drive in the park. Enjoy this spectacular game reserve, during which your field guide will keep you well informed about the park, the game and their primal habits. You will be provided with bottled water, however you are more than welcome to bring your own refreshments along. The park is home to the Big 5 and other mammals of South Africa. Keep your eyes peeled for lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo, among others. Other animals that you may encounter are zebra, giraffe, cheetah, hyena, hippo, crocodile, jackal, wild dogs, antelope as well as some from over the 300 bird species that are found in the park and the list is endless. The view of the park on its own is magnificent. Enjoy the abundance of the African bushveld on this game drive.

Our driver, Lucky, was punctual and friendly. Very accommodating and easy to speak to and with. He was educational and personable during the drive. The safari was very good. We were able to see 3 of the big 5. The 3 hours flew by!

Lucky was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about his country and this tour. He was able to set up the tour with just a few texts and picked us up right about our hotel in Johannesburg. The tour in Pilanesberg was amazing. An incredible amount of animals and very safe and professional guide at the park. It was a long day. Bring water and some snacks. The pictures at the end of the day were great and really made you appreciate the tour Lucky set up.
