From even before we arrived, Mariolina made us feel so welcome. We asked if we could do a different pudding as the 2 of us don’t like tiramisu. We chose the chocolate charlotte - delicious! She asked what fillings and sauces we’d like with our pasta, from a list of choices. On arrival, a warm welcome, and 2 cute little dogs. Making the pasta was so much fun - a first for us. Then sitting to eat her amazing appetisers, while the dough relaxed. Music played while we created our ravioli, tortellini and linguine, before sitting down to eat it. The bolognaise was superb, and almost no room for dessert! We took home what we couldn’t finish- it didn’t last long as our other family members enjoyed them! Mariolina was a great teacher and great with my 11 year old. Would 100% recommend. Great value for moneu.

Our cooking class with the lovely Marolina was definitely one of the highlights during our stay here in Desenzano del Garda! She was warm, inviting and it felt like we were in our own home learning g how to make incredible pasta and desert. By the end she became a new friend. I highly recommend this class if you want to have an incredible food experience with a lovely local lady.

Cooking with Mariolina was an unforgettable experience. Even though I already knew how to make tagliatelle, ravioli, tortellini, and tiramisu, she helped me refine everything with her gentle guidance and passion. She welcomed me like family, shared her delicious homemade dishes, and treated me to the best limoncello I've ever tasted. Warm, authentic, and full of heart — a truly beautiful Italian cooking experience. Grazie, Mariolina. A Desenzano ho trovato una vera amica.

It was a beautiful morning in a private house. Not only did we learn the recipes, we also learned a little Italian. It felt like a family event through the dinner together. We can absolutely recommend it.

If you’re looking for a private, authentic Italian cooking class you’ve found it! The host was amazing and we made 3 different types of pasta, a dessert, and ate them with a glass of local wine. We are not big fans of tiramisu and requested to make a different dessert so we made pistachio mousse. Excited to make pasta again when we get back home 😋

I was very late arriving but my hostess was completely gracious about bringing me in and offering me the entire class. She showed me how to make 4 different kinds of pasta and a version of tiramisu. Everything was organized perfectly so that the pasta, folded around an unusual, pre-made pumpkin filling, could be cooked and served along with lovely appetizers, wine and homemade lemocello along with dessert. Mariolina is both an artist and a retired teacher, and it shows in her firmness, kindness, and patience. This was a day to remember!
