• BEWARE!! False Advertising & Disgusting Conditions

  Beware! The boat we were taken on was NOT the boat pictured. Many of our group tried to show the pictures of the boat we were meant to be on when we arrived and our guide, Ronal, continued to lie and say this was the same boat. As you’ll see in the photos, this boat was old, reeked of mold, had few places to sit on the deck and was simply not the same boat that was advertised. We paid extra for a private cabin expecting what was pictured in the tour listing, but our room was in the haul of the boat where not even the crew would sleep. The bathroom had an exposed car battery to operate the toilet, tubes coming out of the walls with dripping liquid, a sink that didn’t work and water heater that was installed but not hooked up with hanging wire and hoses. The AC unit in the room dripped water onto the bed the entire trip which caused us to sleep on wet sheets and pillows. The rooms reeked of gasoline — several people had to sleep outside on the deck because the fumes were causing headaches. Our guide, Ronal, frequently disappeared and seemed annoyed whenever he led activities, often watching videos on his phone instead of with the group. We did not go to 75% of the places advertised (we were told due to guidance from the harbor master), so much of our time was spent sitting on the boat instead of following the proposed itinerary. The daily itinerary was not well explained and often had Ronal coming out at a moments notice to tell us what we needed to get ready for in a few minutes. While I cannot blame the tour for weather, there were plenty of stunning beaches that we passed on our way to a dirty little strip of sand where locals were selling overpriced snacks. I do not recommend this tour to anyone.

  Tour leader Nana Apri is amazing! He tried his best to make sure everyone was happy. The only downside was food never enough since 99% were young adults. Chef was great through.

  Fantastic trip, Jun was a great guide and the boat crew were all friendly and helpful throughout. You need to keep in mind that there's never a guarantee of seeing the dragons but luckily we did, although outside of Komodo it's still a beautiful part of the world
