Fantastic evening with Ronaldo who offered a lot of different exciting things to both eat and drink. We thought it would be more like a pretty nice restaurant where we were served right after right, but we ended up in what we interpreted as an old garage turned into a restaurant - but right now also had to fill in as a garage when the car that needs fixing needed somewhere to stand. 😄 At the restaurant we ended up directly in the kitchen where we got to help make caipirinha and then be there and watch as different things were cooked while Ronaldo told us a lot about the different ingredients and products. We also got to feel the difference between the textures of tapioca in different shapes and then taste tapioca pancake both with dulce de leche and with guava jam. But eating fresh guava tasted like foot sweat - with small gravel (small giant hard grains). 😀 We had expected a very strict and honestly rather boring but tastefully interesting evening but it was a super nice and very fun evening. I can really, really recommend this experience! It was so long ago we booked so I do not remember how much we paid but it was guaranteed worth the money! So much more experience than just tasting a lot of food. 😊

Ronaldo is a very nice man who is passionate about what he does. He speaks good English and explains in a clear and educational way about the food we got to try. Walking into his restaurant is an experience in itself. He really invites himself and makes the culinary experience an adventure. The fact that we also got to go to two typical eateries in the neighborhood was a very positive surprise.

We absolutely loved it! We tried different local foods and drinks. Our guide Ronaldo was fantastic, super friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the local food culture. After the main tasting at his restaurant, he took us to a traditional bakery and then to a local pub, which made the whole experience feel even more personal and special. We had such a great time. If you want to explore São Paulo through its flavours with a great guide, this is the perfect way to do it. Highly recommend!
