Slea Head Drive
Where the Dingle Peninsula meets the Atlantic Ocean, the Slea Head Drive winds and turns along the rocky shoreline. This 30 km (18m) stretch of the well-known Wild Atlantic Way has been hailed by National Geographic as one of the world's most picturesque locations. Sit back and let our skilled drivers take you along this breathtaking journey as you discover well-known sites like Ventry Beach, ancient ringforts, and beehive huts along with breath-taking vistas of the Blaskets and Skellig Islands. Even Hollywood could not withstand Slea Head's allure. Some of Hollywood's finest epic movies, such as Ryan's Daughter, Far and Away, and Star Wars, have used this region as their setting. Use Mossie's Tours to discover the ethereal beauty.
Fahan BeeHive Huts
One of the most curious features of the Dingle Peninsula are the Fahan Beehive Huts. These drystone corbelled Iron age huts derive their name from the unique shape of the building. The Fahan group are comprised of 19 subterrain and 18 standing clochans (beehive huts). Our guides will lead you through the inscribed stones, sculptured crosses, and earth ring forts. If you listen carefully, you might be able to hear our ancestors’ songs carried in the wind.

We had the absolute best tour experience in Dingle with Mossie. He’s an incredible storyteller—kind, funny, and unbelievably knowledgeable about the area and its history. We were traveling with our two boys (ages 9 and 12) and worried they might get bored, but it ended up being the highlight of their trip (and ours!). Mossie kept everyone engaged the entire time. One of our favorite moments was when he sang a song and recited a poem—so natural and full of charm. It made the experience feel really special. And if you’re a Star Wars fan, he even has some fun connections—but I won’t give it all away 😉 He guided us perfectly while still letting us choose what we wanted to do, which made it feel personal and relaxed. We truly can’t say enough good things—an unforgettable experience. We only wish we lived closer so we could do it again!

Our tour with Mossie far exceeded our expectations. Not only was he generous in sharing his rich knowledge of the area and the culture and history, he also made sure we were comfortable. He tailored the day to our interests with sensitivity and thoughtfulness. This was the highlight of our trip to Ireland and we would recommend him to anyone.

From my first contact with Helen, I knew this wasn't just another tour company. She was quick to answer questions, seemed genuinly interested in figuring out the best tour for my wife and I and communicated throughout. Then the day of our tour, the weather was awful. Any other tour company likely would not have cared one bit about that. But Mossie gave us all sorts of options as to how to best deal with the weather. We talked about it, adjusted the plan and had a fantastic time. Throughout the day he made sure we had the very best experience we could. We learned a lot, had some laughs and felt like we were being driven and toured aroud by a friend. Highly recomended for anyone visiting the Dingle Peninsula.

Touring with Mossie was fantastic. As a family of six, it's not always easy to please everyone but Mossie had something for everyone. Mossie picked us up at the door of our vacation rental and was a delight to meet. We were in awe of the beauty he showed us, from the mountains (even on a rainy day) to a couple beautiful beaches. He even made a stop to see some baby lambs that was the highlight of the entire trip for my 11yr old daughter. We spoke about the history of Ireland and specifically the areas we toured. Mossie is a wonderful story teller and a delightful conversationalist. Hands down, the best tour we experienced. We'd have happily spent the entire week with him. Mossie even gave us suggestions for places to see during the rest of our stay.

Mossie and Helen were the best. They put themselves out to show us the best of all that Dingle has to offer. They gave us an excellent history, showed us the beautiful spots that are Ireland itself, the Beehives, beaches, the countryside. And topping it off with Conor's Pass (An Chonair). Their knowledge of the area, combined with their sense of humor made the tour the highlight of our stay in Dingle. Thank you from the Desmonds

We had a great day with Mossie and Helen, they were both amazing tour guides. Mossie with his knowledge and sense of humor and Helen with her history and story telling. They took 11 of us around the Dingle peninsula and explained the history of the Irish there. We felt like VIPs as they took us from place to place. Everyone, from the young kids to the adults loved the experience. I can’t recommend them enough.

Wow! This tour was a knockout. My family and I can’t say enough about Mossie, our tour guide. He was friendly, funny, and a great storyteller. The Dingle area was just breathtaking. It was the best tour we have done in Ireland so far…..and that is saying a lot. Do yourself a favor and book this tour. Thanks for a great experience Mossie!

I can't imagine a better guide for this part of the world than Mossie. He has so much personal history and connection with the Dingle Peninsula, plus vast cultural and historical knowledge. And in addition to being knowledgeable, he's funny and accommodating and a real pleasure to spend a day with. Thank you, Mossie! We won't forget it.

After interviewing 5 different private drivers, we hired Mossie for 2.5 days which included the Dingle Peninsula. Coming from the US we were a little apprehensive given the political climate here. Mossie made us feel welcome no matter where our political beliefs were. We packed a lot in and we could not have been happier. His van was very comfortable with plenty of room. Mossie is such a great historian and has deep roots in the Dingle area. He has a great sense of humor. Knowing that he has a musical and singing back ground we got him to sing an old Irish song. Mossie was well known and was liked where ever we stopped. We loved hearing all the stories he told about his life. I can't say enough about how well we were treated by Mossie. Thanks Mossie, from Chris, Jackie ,Phil, Sue.
