This is a special program that combines hiking in the beautiful mountains of Busan with a unique experience of Korean rice wine, called Makgeolli at an old-style street food stall called Pocha. It's perfect for those who want to explore Busan in a more social and less touristy way.
During the activity, we'll follow the weekend routine of Korean 'Ajussi,' which refers to senior guys in Korea. We'll hike up the highest mountain in Busan, enjoying breathtaking views along the way. Then, we'll visit hidden villages that only locals know about, where we'll get to try authentic Makgeolli made in those villages. It's a great opportunity to engage in casual conversations, share our cultures, and learn about different drinking traditions.
By the end of the activity, you might even make a new friend from Busan! Join us for an immersive experience that lets you truly connect with the local culture and enjoy the natural beauty of Busan.

What To Expect
☀️ [Important Summer Note – July & August] Due to the hot summer weather, the hiking course may be replaced with a shorter hike and valley trip. After booking, we’ll contact you with full details and seasonal options (Plan B or C). [Main activities] · Hiking in Busan with a local. · Tasting Korean rice wine (Makgeolli) with side dishes (banchan) in a village hidden in an 800m high mountain. [What you can expect] · Knowledge of hidden places known only to locals. · Photos with mountain views and "Pocha" which refers Korean old-style stall. · A Busanian friend. [Itinerary] · Tour will take approximately 4 hours(8~9km) · Take a bus and go up the mountainside for 10mins · Hike up and down to one of the peaks and the mountain village for about 3Hours · Have a light meal with Makgeolli · Return to the subway station by bus [Notice] · Please wear comfortable shoes · Recommend wearing long pants [Meeting point] · Subway station "Oncheonjang(온천장)" Exit No.3 [Weather Notice] · When it rains, we will proceed the refund or go with a backup plan. For example, instead of hiking up the mountain, trek along the lakeside and enjoy some rice wine at a local restaurants

Great excursion away from the tourists

5.00This hike was approximately 6-7 km, steep and rocky in some areas and I would recommend wearing shoes with good traction. The lunch was delicious and authentic. If you are looking for more of a local experience, this is your excursion. When we were finished, Hug-you went out of his way to lead me to a pharmacist and act as an interpreter, saving me much time and aggression. Truly a kind person. Thank you Hug-you for a fabulous morning.

5.00Hiking with our guide Junwoo is amazing! He is knowledgeable and have a pretty great sense of humour throughout the tour. The lunch towards the end of the tour (Makgeolli, seafood pancake, and noodles) was very delicious.

5.00This is a little gem of a tour, away from the crowds of tourists. It starts by catching a local bus from the meeting point (Tmoney card needed). The tour guide was responsive, calm and friendly. The short but hilly hike in the woods was invigorating. The scenery is just gorgeous. The lunch spot is an authentic tent cafe where Koreans come to eat, cooked by a lady who grows her own veg.
