5.00The weather wasn’t on our side but they kept us informed for 24 hours before and then on the day we couldn’t do the ski plane but they gave us another option. An amazing helicopter ride on to the mountain opposite Mount Cook. Outstanding views and we even landed on some snow!! Refunded issued the same day (3-5 days to arrive) for the difference in experiences. Disappointing not to get the experience we booked but customer service was exceptional

5.00It was the most expensive activity of our stay in New Zealand, but we absolutely do not regret doing it! We chose the combination helicopter + plane with landing on the glacier. Friends had advised us to take this tour to Mount Cook rather than Franz Josef — and we did well to listen. The organization is perfect from start to finish. Upon arrival, you are weighed to determine your place in the helicopter (heavier passengers are placed in the back), and then given all the instructions before departure. You then board the helicopter that takes you to the glacier. The flight is already a sight in itself: we fly over the river from the lake, then the mountains, and after a few minutes appear the eternal snows, until reaching the glacier. The helicopter then landed on the ice. We were supposed to stay for 10 minutes, but we finally stayed there for almost 20 minutes, to our delight as the scenery is exceptional. The weather was ideal: sun, no wind... a pure moment of happiness. We were even in T-shirts and shorts! The scenery is breathtaking: a feeling of absolute calm mixed with the raw power of nature in the heart of these mountains. Initially, there are many companies with several helicopters and planes on the tarmac, but once there, we only met another helicopter in private flight. Two Pilatus planes dropped off visitors, and we got back on board one of them. The return was equally memorable, with a flight as close as possible to the mountains and Mount Cook, majestic and entirely snowy. In the end, an unforgettable excursion. We paid about €450 for 45 minutes, but the experience lasted almost an hour to our delight. If you can afford it, it’s really a must: it’s a unique memory. For the record, it’s been more than 30 years since we’ve seen snow, and it was a first for our 24-year-old son. A beautiful moment, full of emotion, that we had the chance to

5.00Great experience. However, no backpack may be brought on board. It is worth it and in good weather you get a fantastic view. The landing on the glacier and the short stay was also breathtaking.

5.00From start to finish our experience was very positive. Unfortunately due to poor weather our original flight was cancelled but the company were brilliant with communications and rescheduling it for an alternative date. The flight itself was fantastic. Helicopter up to the glacier, time on the glacier and ski-plane back to base. A once in a lifetime experience.
