My family and I recently went on a private Black Sea Adventure Tour with Sunnova Travel, and we had a fantastic trip. Right from the beginning, the instructions for our airport meetup were clear, and the communication during the planning and tour phases was consistent, which we appreciated. We started in Trabzon at a hilltop restaurant with a splendid view of the city. We enjoyed Turkish tea and chatted with our tour hosts, Veysel and Muhammet. Visiting the Sumela Monastery was impressive, perched on the side of a mountain, and our guide Veysel did a fabulous job explaining its historical significance. The drive in the Highlands was picturesque, with stunning mountain views, tree-lined landscapes, and charming villages along the way. The waterfalls we encountered during our hikes were beautiful, and the hike itself was rewarding. Our stay at the Pokut Orion Boutique Hotel was very comfortable, and the hosts were so friendly and accommodating. Despite a rainy afternoon, we had a pleasant time playing backgammon with Muhammet. Ayes, the owner, prepared a delicious homemade Turkish dinner and a generous breakfast. Muhammet’s guitar playing and the hosts’ bagpipe performance added a lovely local touch. It was a special experience to visit Muhammet’s parents’ house and tea garden. There, we not only enjoyed tea but had the privilege of attempting to harvest tea leaves from the garden, some of us with more success than others. Throughout the trip, the restaurant recommendations consistently delivered authentic Turkish farm-to-table food, and we also developed a taste for Turkish tea. Overall, our tour with Sunnova Travel was a great experience, and we would recommend it to others looking for an enjoyable tour. Thank you for the memorable trip!

I think it was the best holiday of my life. As someone who has wanted to come to the Black Sea for years, it was a good chance for me to choose Sunnova Travel. I think the most important feature that distinguishes this tour from others is that they are both so professional and so friendly. I learned so much about the history, culture and nature of the Black Sea from Mr. Muhammet and Veysel that it was quite fascinating for me. The places in our program were carefully selected and moreover, they made optional changes to the places we might like, allowing us to get the most out of our holiday. In addition, it was as if we were on holiday with our friends. I felt like I was gone. I thank them very much for this beautiful holiday, it is great to see people doing their job with so much care and love. I happily recommend it to all my friends and close circle. I too can't wait for the Kaçkar Summit Tour, see you again...

Our small group tour turned out to be a private tour for the two of us, at no extra cost, due to a cancelation. This made our tour more flexible and easy-going. Our guide was very polite and helpful, and always offered us options if weather intervened in planned activities. Our day at the Sumela Monastery stood out as a major highlight of the tour. The drive up to the Rize Tea Plantations was also spectacular and interesting.

Sunnova Travel is a professional and good agency. I was scanning for black sea tour when I came across Sunnova (it has great reviews). I began my inquiry through their whatsapp and Alican has been amazing in every question and changes I had. It was very easy to talk to him. During the tour, I learned from our tour guide that Alican polished all the documents so we don't encounter any problem. We had a treat of our life when we get to stay in a local villa (in the mountains) where breakfast was served by our hosts (Beyza and Beytul). We had the best muhlama and tasty breakfast (mainly from their garden). Their dad Mustafa treat us with good turkish coffee. My son had a good time picking pears with him. The transportation is comfortable and our Kaptan is truly amazing and professional especially on curvy mountain roads. He is always with a smile despite long drives and even taught us the traditional dance. My kids cannot get over the Laz Berry dessert he made us try. We had a great guide Volkan. We learned great history on the region (turkey overall) and intense customary/cultural insight. He endured and answer willingly even my kids silliest queries. We felt like family during the 3 days. He was very flexible and professional. When we asked to not be in super touristy places he arranged that we don't missed out on the best places but balanced it where he knows we will enjoy (experience and good food). Thank you Sunnova and team for a memorable family trip!

In April, my adult daughter and I took a 4 day/3night private tour out of Trabzon with Zeynep as our guide and Emir as our driver. It was a WONDERFUL way to visit the Black Sea region. Emir was a skilled and patient driver driving through mountainous areas where we would not be comfortable driving ourselves. We visited the Sumela Monastery, Aya Sophia (Trabzon), Atatürk Mansion, Uzungöl and Ayder. We stayed at a different place each night which allowed us to see more in each area. We were treated to a visit to a tea garden where we took part in harvesting tea leaves and were welcomed into the home of Alican's brother. We felt like we were traveling with and visiting family. Zeynep was the perfect guide and we left Trabzon with treasured memories and friendship.

I arranged my trip to turkey (Black Sea package) with Sunnova travels and it was a life time experience. Mr.Alican prepared the whole package as per our needs and comfort. Once in turkey the assigned guide and driver treated us like family and made sure we enjoyed every bit of our vacation without any worries. They all went out of the way to make us feel at home. I have no regrets or complains about anything from this agency as I received services more than expectations. I highly recommend Sunnova Travels

Travelling to Turkey has become somewhat of an obsession for me. When last October a sudden change in a much bigger travel itinerary throughout the Middle East left me and a friend with about a week to fill, we booked very last minute this Private Black Sea Tour with Northa Travel and our outstanding tour guide Alican. It truly was one of my most memorable travel experiences. Not only did we experience this very scenic region of Turkey with its green mountains, deep valleys, tall waterfalls, emerald lakes surrounded by colorful forests, historic castles and peaceful highlands. But our guide Alican, who was knowledgeable and well-spoken, flexible to our needs and very kind, offered us an authentic insight into the history, culture and people of the area. I will never forget our stay in Pokut, the summer pastures high in the mountains, where we spent the evening with lovely locals eating delicious foods, listening to the bagpipes, singing and dancing. The following evening, Alican invited us to meet his family at his parents’ home. What was to be a quick visit turned into a meal of local dishes like hamsi (fried anchovies) and muhlama (Turkish cheese fondue) meeting many of the neighbors who stopped by later just to say ‘hello’. Turks are generally known to be very hospitable, and in a private tour, a guide can tailor the activities and experiences to the interests and needs of his clients but in this tour Alican took hospitality to another level. Thank you again Alican for a wonderful experience!!

Alican, our tour guide, was a gift. He is helpful, kind, attentive, well-organized, and is genuinely interested in making your time there the best it can be. He clearly know, loves, and understands his country, and he wants to share it with you …its people, its architecture and art, culture, delicious food, incredible history, and geography … the cool caves, lush green hillside, walking around the beautiful lake, driving up that mountain to the summer camp to spend time with lovely people … everything he arranges is with purpose. He knows your time there is short, and he wants it to be time well-spent. We even met his family at their home where we were well-fed with delicious food, spent a lovely evening being warmed by their hospitality, and left with a bag of fresh fruit. Alican is knowledgeable, well-spoken, and excellent at passing along information … he’s like your favourite teacher in school. He will have a plan of what he wants you to see but will also accommodate your interests and needs. It was not only an excellent trip, it was a great time. You should go. With Alican.

On our third trip to Turkey we decided to visit the Black Sea region, and were lucky enough to choose Northa Travel from the many tours available. Our guide Alican was fantastic - my family were the only participants on the tour so he was always looking for ways to tailor the tour to our interests and needs. We saw amazing landscapes, ate truly wonderful food and stayed in very comfortable accommodation. We also met many locals who shared their stories with us - a highlight of the trip. We would definitely recommend this tour to see a different side of Turkey.

A great tour conducted by a great guide. Alican is an excellent guide, as well as being such a friendly person. I would highly recommend going on a tour with him to this beautiful part of Turkey, which is like no other part of the country. It is a peaceful, scenic area with rugged hills, and deep valleys, and it is green; very easy on the eye. This is all presented in a very interesting manner by the knowledgeable guide, Alican, who knows the area quite well. An added interest to this tour is the opportunity to cross into Georgia for a day, to sample the attractive city of Batumi.
