5 perfect days on Amazonas, organized and managed by Oxigeno Amazons. Our expectations have been met by 100%, last not least by the very experienced Tour Guide Brandon, who was reading our wishes from our lips and perfectly responded to it. Karla and Darwis organized everything to our full satisfaction in the background. As we are photographers, we needed some flexibility in the activity, which was perfectly fulfilled. Our rating: top performance, highly recommended!

We made a fantastic tour with Brandon and Oscar (our guides for 4 days). We got a good idea of the Amazon through the varied activities and special overnight stays in the jungle and with the locals. An experience to remember!

I highly recommend visiting the Colombian Amazon with Oxygen Amazon. The organizers (Karla and Darwis) are super friendly and efficient, the communication from the first contact was very good and transparent, the logistics impeccable, the excellent quality accommodation (both the hotel in Puerto Nariño and the cabin in the jungle) and the very rich and varied food. The guide (Brandon) knew a lot about the flora and fauna of the jungle and the local cultures and was very patient. We visit beautiful natural places in the jungle and around the river with amazing wildlife (insects, monkeys, sloths, birds etc.), and you also learn a lot about local cultures and what it involves to live near a river like the Amazon. Another aspect that I really liked is that Oxygen Amazonas really tries to generate a broader economic impact in the community. 100% recommended. I highly recommend visiting the Colombian Amazonia with Oxígeno Amazonas. Very friendly and capable organizers (Karla and Darwis), good and transparent communication, impeccable logistics, very good accommodation (the hotel in Puerto Nariño as well as the very nice cabin in the jungle), great food, a very knowledgeable and patient guide (Brandon) and amazing activities. I enjoyed both the natural jungle/river/lake spots with their amazing wildlife (insects, monkeys, birds, sloths etc.) and the cultural insights very much. Another great thing is that Oxygen Amazon really tries to generate a broader positive economic impact in the community, which is quite unique.

This was a fantastic trip in every way possible. Starting with the clear, timely communication with Karla, one of the owners, to our arrival in Leticia then in Puerto Narino, everything every step of the way was handled professionally. The guides and English translator were top notch, so were the accommodations and the meals. We felt we had a very good exposure to the area’s natural history in the jungle and on the water. There’s a fair amount of walking on slippery trails so a person needs to be in decent shape.

Stepping into the Amazonas region is like stepping into a whole new world where everything revolves around the River. This tour went well beyond our expectations. Puerto Narina is a beautiful town far from Leticia, friendly, clean, and unique as it strongly embraces ecotourism. No motorized vehicles except a few tractors. It is located in an area where there is much to see by boat or on foot such as the many indigenous communities, the Loretoyacu River, and the 3 lakes associated with it. The birding and wildlife viewing is excellent! The 5 day trip is the best as you do and see so much. However, be in good shape for long walks in mud, up and down steep creek banks, crossing streams on boards, and getting in and out of and sitting in small boats in hot and humid conditions. Gato, our guide, was amazing, enthusiastic, and very knowledgeable about the people, the plants, and animals. I highly recommend it!

Logistics to/from Leticia to Puerto Narino were very good. A small hiccup with boat pickup was resolved quickly. The guides were wonderful. We loved their enthusiasm for the jungle and animals. They got as excited as we did! The hotel was fine, loved walking 50' to barefoot breakfast. No hot water is a bit unpleasant, but not big deal in the jungle. It was nice to eat at a variety of restaurants in town. My son and I would love to return!

Writing this review feels like bidding farewell to a piece of my heart that still lingers in the Amazon. Oxígeno Amazonas provided me with an adventure that transcended my expectations and etched memories I'll forever hold dear. I anticipated the Amazon to be magical, but what I didn't anticipate was the enchantment found in the harmonious blend of nature and the warmth of the people. The friendliness of the locals seemed in perfect symbiosis with the surrounding nature, creating an atmosphere that was not just welcoming but spiritually uplifting. In the face of the immense challenges the Amazon is confronting, such as deforestation and drought in Brazil, for instance, this journey became a beacon of hope. Oxígeno Amazonas not only showcased the beauty of the region but also highlighted the resilience of local communities and their commendable efforts in conservation. Witnessing these small yet impactful steps towards preserving the Amazon left me optimistic about the future of this precious ecosystem. The guides, with their deep knowledge and passion for the region, added an educational layer to the adventure. Their commitment to responsible tourism was evident, fostering a sense of appreciation for the delicate balance between exploration and conservation. As I reflect on this solo adventure, I'm filled with gratitude for these incredible individuals who, in their unique ways, turned this trip into a shared exploration of the heart. Thank you, Carla, Pedro, Runa, Carlos, and Tan, for being more than guides and companions—you are the soul of the Amazon. Oxígeno Amazonas has played a pivotal role in revealing the beauty, challenges, and promise of this extraordinary region. As I reluctantly say goodbye to this chapter of my life, I carry with me not just memories of breathtaking landscapes but also a renewed hope for the Amazon's future. I hope to return one day. P.S. For an even more perfect experience, with a bit more time, a night in a local community and an extended walk in the primary forest would have been truly amazing.

What can I say, it was all in all a once in lifetime experience. I had originally booked the 5 day 4 night tour and was lucky that another lady from Portugal joined the tour in the same period. So we were the most time 4 people. Starting with the organization of Karla, her husband Cali and sugar sweet daughter who were waiting for us in Porto Narino at the restaurant upon arrival. It felt like family right away. So warm, friendly and nice. Before that, we were picked up from the hostel in Leticia by amigo Guillermo and escorted to the port of Leticia. Many, many thanks go especially to Pedro our local guide who accompanied us the whole 5 days through the Amazon and always very calm, factual and excellent guided us through the Amazon with lots of information about the place, the animals and plants. Pedro simply best parcero :) But what would the whole trip only without Runa, our translator. I can imagine by far no better translator, her whole person so open-minded, full of joie de vivre and positive energy have made the Amazon tour perfect. Always an open ear, a passion for photo shooting and graffiti, knowing and greeting everyone in Porto Narino. Simply Perfect. Thanks also to Carlos our local guide on the first evening during the night tour. The amigo is a walking encyclopedia with so much knowledge that you can only marvel. The whole Amazon tour was then topped by a surprise party for me on the last night, organized by the whole crew. Many, many thanks again for that. This story is already going down in the history books. You guys are simply the best! I am just over happy that I booked the tour and would do it again anytime without any hesitation. I can only highly recommend the tour. It is directly like a family. Thank you so much!
