Often referred to as the "Eighth Wonder of the World," the crater is home to an incredible density of animals, and you'll have excellent chances to spot the **Big Five—lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard—**as well as hippos, hyenas, flamingos, and a variety of other bird species around Lake Magadi. Mid-morning, enjoy a packed bush lunch at a designated picnic site within the crater, often near a hippo pool.
