Our Apron Up Cooking Class has been gaining popularity through years in giving people an intensive and interesting lessons. People who come to us can be experts who want to open Vietnamese restaurant back home or a person who never cook before but want to be able to eat delicious Viet food when they have to come back after vacation.
Our school locates right in the centre of the old quarter so very easy to access and hence, after the market tour in the biggest market in Hanoi which is right near the old quarter, you can also know where to buy what in the rest of your trip here.
Within only 3 - 4 hours, you get to learn about the ingredients ( spices and Vietnamese produces), get your hands on cooking a whole meal of the most popular and authentic 5 dishes in Hanoi (or its vegetarian version for vegetarian attendants, enjoying your fruits of labour and try Vietnamese rice wine together with your classmates, receiving a cook booklet and certificate!

What To Expect
Explore local market and shopping with our guide, cook 5 Vietnamese dishes, eat your own fruits of labour together with Vietnamese rice vodka. Get a cook book and certificate. Menu: Pho bo (beef noodle soup), Bun cha (Hanoi BBQ pork noodle), Nem ran (fried spring roll), papaya salad, egg coffee/ chocolate. Vegetarians/ non-red meat eaters will learn vegetarian version.

5.00The Vietnamese cooking class was absolutely incredible! It was, without a doubt, one of the highlights of my trip. The flavors, the fresh ingredients, and the techniques we learned were fascinating. I still find myself missing the aromas and the fun we had in the kitchen. If you want to truly connect with Vietnamese culture, you must take this class. I can't wait to try these recipes at home!

5.00Chef Bella was gracious and patient. She orchestrated the meal nicely across all 8 participants. Lots to learn in terms of flavourings and preparation techniques, including the use of perilla herb, as well as sea peanuts for that subtle phở bò umami. She deftly accommodated various vegetarian tastes as well. The proof was in the pudding, a lovely meal was enjoyed communally by all. We all left with recipes for every dish to try to recreate in our respective natural habitats. Highly recommended.
