Our Apron Up Cooking Class has been gaining popularity through years in giving people an intensive and interesting lessons. People who come to us can be experts who want to open Vietnamese restaurant back home or a person who never cook before but want to be able to eat delicious Viet food when they have to come back after vacation.
Our school locates right in the centre of the old quarter so very easy to access and hence, after the market tour in the biggest market in Hanoi which is right near the old quarter, you can also know where to buy what in the rest of your trip here.
Within only 3 - 4 hours, you get to learn about the ingredients ( spices and Vietnamese produces), get your hands on cooking a whole meal of the most popular and authentic 5 dishes in Hanoi (or its vegetarian version for vegetarian attendants, enjoying your fruits of labour and try Vietnamese rice wine together with your classmates, receiving a cook booklet and certificate!

What To Expect
Explore local market and shopping with our guide, cook 5 Vietnamese dishes, eat your own fruits of labour together with Vietnamese rice vodka. Get a cook book and certificate. Menu: Pho bo (beef noodle soup), Bun cha (Hanoi BBQ pork noodle), Nem ran (fried spring roll), papaya salad, egg coffee/ chocolate. Vegetarians/ non-red meat eaters will learn vegetarian version.

We’ve learned authentic techniques and have gained much insight into Vietnamese culture. 5.00It was a great experience, learned a lot together with the history of the dishes. Great opportunity to meet fellow travelers and connect. The menu was simple enough to not get overwhelmed. Our instructor Coco was awesome she explained things well and was very helpful and encouraging, Super job!!

5.00We had a fantastic experience doing this cooking class experience with Emmy. Emmy explained everything thoroughly giving us hints and tips along the way. She initially took us to a market and talked us through Vietnamese ingredients. She was extremely knowledgeable on local ingredients and history. We produced delicious dishes and were able to to enjoy themat the end of the class. We highly recommend this class with Emmy.
