Our experience with Arctic Adventures was spectacular. We expected to witness the full variety of what Iceland had to offer a first time visitor and the tour did not disappoint. From the glaciers to the waterfalls to the ice caves to the lava tunnels, etc., each stop was a "wow" moment. The accommodations were above average. If nary a word was spoken by the guide, the trip would have been a success. But we got far more than that. Our travel guide (and new friend) Hjalti Bjornsson, was a revelation. He has to be your best guide and we were so very fortunate to have him beside us through good and bad weather. He was informative, knowledgeable, professional, humorous and, in short, just a joy to be around. We could tell he truly cared about the quality of our vacation and spared no effort to ensure our success. He listened to our input and even socialized with us on lunch and dinner breaks. As a "so very proud" Icelander, Hjalti presented your country with enthusiasm and joy. We were blessed to have his expertise and would recommend others to request him as their guide. Even when weather caused alterations in our itinerary, as we expected it might, Hjalti made sure our tour quality was not impacted more than necessary. In short, we could not be happier with our experience and thank Arctic Adventures for an unforgettable vacation. Submitted Bill and Sherri Slater.

I've been wanting to come to Iceland since I was 20. Finally, after 32 years, I made it ( I even spent 17 years in the travel industry, and 6.5 years living in the UK and still didn't manage to get here). I hand picked this tour from multiple options and I am so happy I landed on this choice. Oskar, our guide was beyond amazing. His knowledge and passion about his country is incredible. He has a sense of humour. Oskar is highly credible when it comes to safety, both on the roads and at sites, which is important considering we travelled in winter and there was a significant amount of ice around. In all the tours I have done, across this planet, Oskar would be the best guide I have ever had. Thank you Oskar for such an amazing trip. We had a great group, who were great with keeping time which allowed us some extra stops on the tour. Accommodations were excellent with great breakfasts. As a side note, I booked through On the Go tours who contract to Arctic Adventures, and they bookended this tour with a night in Reykjavik either side and a Northern Lights tour by boat on the first night and then by minibus on the last night making an 8 night option. Normally I would book direct with the supplier, but the discount at the time for the tour was too good to turn down.

My hubby and I really had an enjoyable experience. The whole trip was well arranged, allowing us to visit a wide range of tourist attractions without feeling rushed. Special thanks to our driver cum guide Oscar who was professional and attentive. Given the weather and road conditions were so unpredictable, he carefully checked the weather and road conditions in advance every day to ensure our safety and comfort. Whenever the conditions did not permit certain activities, he was quick to arrange suitable alternatives or thoughtfully adjusted itinerary, ensuring our group always had something interesting to see. The accommodation was also comfortable and well-selected, offering us convenience to see the Northern lights right outside the hotels. Definitely highly recommend it to anyone looking for an enjoyable journey.

Such an amazing and wonderful experience! Iceland is indeed wild! I knew taking winter tours involve risks due to the bad weather, but our guide Oskar made us feel totally safe! I was seated at the front all throughout the trip, and I saw how serious and focused he was on the road when the weather gets bad! He was also very appreciative of our group’s discipline with the time, and I find it really nice that he let us know that. He also took photos for us and shared some of his personal stories (apart from his knowledge in Iceland). I know the program is well-curated, but having a great tour guide also adds on to the overall experience!

Iceland road tour on mini bus with Artic Adventures and Oskar The Guide: amazing and amazing! Organized route in order to make the most of each region in which it happens. Incredible activities in the adventure package such as walking in the ice and glacier caves, whale observation and bathing in a spa pool. Our guide was Oskar, very kind and super safe in the direction in the snow and very interested in the well-being and safety of the tour guests.

This was the experience of a lifetime! Such a beautiful country with a variety of stops and activities to do on the tour. Some highlights included climbing inside the hidden waterfall, Gljufrabui, exploring ice caves and the Diamond Beach at Vatnajökull, seeing the Northern lights in Höfn, walking on the thin ice at Vesterhorn, petting a reindeer, whale watching, Godafoss, and one last dinner with our tour group! Our tour guide, Oskar, was phenomenal. He answered all of our questions about Icelandic life and culture, knew all of the best spots to stop at, and kept us safe when the ice and wind were rough. My husband and I are so grateful we booked with Arctic Adventures!
