  • Amazing trip with Erastus and Bronihel!

    Q8696WZemmah,

    May 9, 2025

    - Review from Tripadvisor

My brother and I had an amazing trip with Erastus and Bronny! With us where 2 other travelers, so it was really relaxed and everyone was super nice. The guides really made the tour! They did almost everything for us and always went the extra mile for us. It felt like they where part of the group, which was really nice. The food was absolutely amazing! We first went to mount Etjo, where we did our first game drive. We saw so many giraffs, springboks and impala! We also saw a white rino, an elephant and 5 bat-eared foxes! It was so cool! We did get a flat tire, but it got fixed during the beautliful sun-downer. The second and third day where at Etosha. We saw elephants, black and white rino, many many zebra and springbok, wilde beest, giraff, 4 lions, 2 jackhal, a hyena, a lot of vultures and as a beautiful surprise, we saw 3!! cheetahs!! That was so cool! The fourth day, we went to Palmwag, but we first stoped at the Himba village. Here we learned about the way they live and we bought some bracelets that they made. Also, Namibia is so green now! I didn't know it could be this green! At Palmwag we had a little bit of rain but then we watched the sun set and enjoyed the beautiful clouds around us. The fifth day we went to Spitzkoppe via Skeleton coast and Cape Cross. The landscape got less and less green and more grey and brown, but it was still beautiful. We got out at one of the shipwrecks and it was so cold! But it was very impressive to see those wrecks. After this we went to Cape Cross. My brother and I have been there before and knew what was waiting for us, but we forgot how bad the smell actually was! Wow! It took us max. 10 minutes before we where all back in the bus hahaha. At Spitzkoppe, we climbed the rocks to have a good look at the sunset, which was beautiful, but really fast because winter is approaching and the sun was lowering behind a mountain. After diner we went to the bar and had a drink (which is super cheap in Namibia by the way) and had a nice time with the people who worked there. The sixth day, we went to Swakopmund. We arrived there around 11:30, but we had to wait until 14:00 to get in our rooms. Unfortunately, it was the first of May, which is a public holiday, so places like museums weren't open. But we still enjoyed ourselfs! In the evening we had dinner with the whole group and the Chameleon groups that where also there. It was really fun talking with those I didn't know before. The last day we went from Swakop back to Windhoek with a shuttle provided by Chameleon, guided by Anton and Shaka, who where also very nice! This trip was everything I expected and more! We want to give a special thanks to Bronny and Erastus, because they made the trip so much fun! We laughed so hard with Bronny and Erastus and they could tell us everything about the country that we wanted to know. They were really nice people and we made truly new friends with them!

An absolutely spectacular 7-day journey through Northern Namibia that exceeded all expectations! This tour was a perfect blend of wildlife, nature, and cultural experiences. From the incredible game drives at Mt. Etjo and Etosha National Park, where I spotted elephants, rhinos, and countless other species, to the fascinating cultural visit to the Himba Village, every moment was breathtaking. The Skeleton Coast's dramatic landscapes, the massive seal colony at Cape Cross, and the unique lichen fields were highlights that showcased Namibia's incredible diversity. My guides, Simon and Kennedy, were outstanding - knowledgeable, passionate, and attentive, ensuring I didn't miss a single memorable moment. The trip culminated in the charming adventure capital of Swakopmund, offering a perfect mix of relaxation and optional adrenaline activities. For anyone wanting to experience the true essence of Namibia, this tour is an absolute must!

This was a wonderful week camping in the northern part of Namibia. After I did the camping tour with Chameleon Safaris in the south, I decided to do the tour in the north as well and that was a great decision! You get to see sooooo many animals, beautiful nature and great insights about Namibia. A very big THANKS to the guides Josef and Bronihel, they always gave 100% and were so great! Really helpful, great stories, amazing cooking skills, always there to take nice photos :) and so many funny talks with them and the other people in the group - it was a perfect week! The campsites were beautiful and I can only recommend to book a camping tour with Chameleon Safaris in Namibia - it’s way more comfortable than expected, you are so close to nature for the whole time and just a great experience that I’ll never forget!!

Hands down one of the best tours I’ve ever been on. The camping accommodations, safari vehicle, meals, and itinerary were great. The guides, Chilo and Doctor Smithley were friendly, kind, and knowledgeable. Perhaps best, they were fun and enjoyable to be with. The amount of wildlife that we were able to view was outstanding and the scenery was interesting and at times spectacular. If I could I would rate the tour higher!

I recently returned from an 8-day tour, "Wildlife, Himba & Skeleton Coast Camping Safari," led by Kennedy and Raymond. This tour provided an unforgettable and amazing experience! Initially, I was hesitant about visiting Namibia and sleeping in a camp since I had never been to Africa and I'm not typically a camping person. However, I didn't need to worry at all. Sleeping in the tent was surprisingly comfortable, and the tent sites were very clean. I was also pleasantly surprised to find few insects, which is usually a concern for me when camping in Japan. Kennedy and Raymond were energetic, considerate, hardworking, and knowledgeable guides. They went above and beyond each day. The dinners they prepared for us were unforgettable and among my favorite cultural experiences of the trip. I highly recommend booking a tour through Chameleon! The only regret I have is that the tour I booked didn't include Sossusvlei. If I had known how beautiful it would be, I would have booked a tour that included it. I definitely plan to return to Namibia and join another Chameleon tour to explore the southern part of the country next time!

This was the best safari I have been on. Our guide and driver were outstanding (Michael and Tamini (sorry, I know I didn't spell your name right), but you both were the greatest. So informative, kind, funny, helpful (I sure didn't know how to put up a tent) and they would do it in two minutes, where I would probably be still struggling with it today,! You made the trip so enjoyable, I want to do it again with you. Everything was perfect. The sights and sounds of Namibia are so amazing, and thanks to you guys we saw it all!!! Bless you for dealing with us city folks so graciously!!!

I had an amazing time doing the Northern Namibian tour. My tour guides at Chameleon Tours, Gideon and Bronihel, were absolutely amazing and they were a highlight of the trip!!!!!! They were knowledgeable, helpful, engaging, organized, accommodating, informative, friendly and made me feel so welcome. I highly recommend/endorse both of these guides. Highlights were the incredible wildlife sightings, the nice camping conditions and the ATV-ing through the amazing sand dunes. I had the time of my life in the beautiful country of Namibia!!

This safari has been one of my most memorable travelling experiences thanks to the content - Namibian wilderness, Etosha National Park, Skeleton Coast and Swakopmond - and our tour guides Greg and Bronie who provided us with lots of information, plenty of yummy food and many opportunities to exchange a joke. Definitely 10/10.
