Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, you will be met at your accommodations by your safari guide and then drive to Lake Manyara National Park. This is a relatively small but diverse park situated 120km west of Arusha. The park’s namesake is a shallow salt lake. It covers a large area of the park, floods and dries with the seasons, and is home to thousands of flamingos and over 500 other bird species. During your park explorations, you will see monkeys, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, elephant and, with some luck, lions lounging in the trees. The park is known for its diverse landscapes. It not only has grassy plains, but also primate-filled woodlands and baobab dotted cliffs. After an extensive game drive through the park, you will head towards your nearby accommodations at one of our luxurious, mid-range partner lodges. You lodging has been carefully selected by us for quality. You can dine in an expansive restaurant, relax by the pool, and rest in a spacious and comfortable room.

Passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you will be able to see the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater before traveling onwards to the Serengeti, which you will reach by midday. Serengeti National Park is the largest park in Tanzania. It features diverse landscapes and habitats, such as grassy plains, swamps, lakes, savannah, and mountains. The biggest wildebeest and zebra migration takes place here and, depending on the season, you may witness thousands of animals on their search for food and water. After an extensive game drive, you will head to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Serengeti National Park
The entirety of today is set aside for game driving in Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti is the habitat for an abundance of wildlife, including impalas, buffalo, crocodiles, and hippos, but is best known for its great migrating herds of zebras and wildebeest. The animals’ trek is determined by the rainfall and varies from year to year. In November and December, the animals move from the northern region, dominated by woodlands and hills, to the grassy plains of the south. During the longer rainy season from April to June, they return to the north. Apart from the migrating herds, you might have the chance to see predators, such as leopards, cheetahs, and lions, always lurking close by.

This UNESCO world heritage site, formed millions of years ago, is 610m deep and covers roughly 260 square kilometres. Due to its dense animal population of approximately 25,000, the crater offers the best game viewing of all the parks in Tanzania. In a matter of minutes, you will be able to see wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, elephants, and some of the more than 500 bird species native to the area. With a little bit of luck, you might catch a glimpse of the endangered black rhino through the grass. After lunch, you will ascend the steep walls of the crater and head to your accommodations at one of our carefully selected mid-range partner lodges in Karatu. It was an extremely perfect and unforgettable trip, and I highly recommend our guide Rigo. He not only actively introduced a lot of knowledge to us, allowing us to gain a lot of insights, but he was also very good at spotting animals. We easily saw the Big Five, the Ugly Five, and saw countless baby animals as well as various other animals and birds. Although the travel agency had a minor mistake in coordinating the walking safari, they quickly and actively resolved it. At the same time, the price was transparent. Under the same price, this hotel can offer better treatment, and it is a very honest business. If there is time during the migration season, I will choose this company again.

We chose Lappet Faced Safari, and although we customised the itinerary ourselves, the company helped arrange our guide and book the lodges smoothly and efficiently. From the very beginning, their responses were timely and informative, which gave us great confidence in their professionalism. I truly believe this is a well-established and reliable company. The entire process was smooth, and the pricing was fair and transparent. We opted for mid-to-upper range accommodation. While lodges inside the conservation areas can be quite expensive, you really do get what you pay for. Although no place is ever absolutely perfect, we genuinely appreciated the warm hospitality and dedication of the lodge staff. Our trip was eight days in total. We spent two days in the Serengeti, two days in Ndutu, and another two days in the Ngorongoro Crater. The remaining two days were spent travelling between the city and the national parks. We were four people in one vehicle, which was the perfect balance — not overcrowded, yet still reasonably priced. The atmosphere in the car was wonderful. Everyone shared a genuine love for wildlife and remained quiet and respectful when we were close to the animals. Our guide, Rigo, was amazing. He is incredibly passionate about wildlife, and his driving skills and careful approach made us feel very safe and relaxed throughout the trip. We experienced no delays or vehicles getting stuck, which was largely thanks to his excellent radio communication with other guides — something that is extremely important on safari. I highly recommend doing a walking safari in the Ngorongoro Highlands. Being guided by Maasai locals, we learned about indigenous plants and how to read animal footprints — something you simply cannot experience while sitting in a vehicle. It gave us a whole new perspective on the environment and made the safari feel far more authentic and meaningful. Overall, it was a perfect journey, and I am already missing Tanzania.

The 8-day safari cost $3,300 per person, with an additional $25 for my birthday cake and $36 for the walking safari (highly recommended!). Special thanks to our safari guide, Rigo. He prepared the picnic boxes with forks and knives himself, washed the vehicle on his own, and even helped me mail my postcard. Thanks to him, we successfully saw all of the African Big Five and the Ugly Five.

We four friends experienced remarkable 8 day journey in safari. We are all Chinese speaking English. People here are all very friendly and welcoming. The travel plan is wonderful. Staff from lappet faced safaris are all professional and answer our questions with patience and detail. Also giving out clear breakdown format of admission fees. Their introductions to the journey really eased my worries before trip. Our guide Rigo is a super nice guy, he is very professional and always well-prepared. He is like an encyclopedia of animals and have a great view in searching animals as well. Also he checked the road condition in rainy days to avoid getting stuck. Will never forget this experience and looking forward for next trip with lappet faced safari and Rigo.

This was my first time travelling in Africa. Together with my Mum and two aunties we travelled as a family group of four. Generally it was an educative, cheering and lifetime memorable journey. All of us loved the safari. A genuine big thank to Lappet Faced Safari and our guide Frank. The trip was not only well arranged, safe and sound, but also full of luck. At the trip planning stage, the company general manager Francisco was very patient to answer all kinds of questions and made adjustments according to my demands as effective as possible. The cost breakdown was highly detailed. Before starting the trip, I had some concerns because my mum and aunties whose average age are nearly 60 and do not understand English. I expected that the trip might be a bit uneasy. But our guide Frank turned out to be an easy-going guy. He is so nice and got on well with three ladies. Even they don’t really understand each other’s language, there was no barrier at all :) And the car had been kept clean and tidy every morning before we get on. The ladies often praised “Frank你真棒!” (Frank you are so reliable!) During the safari, Frank could always discover those special animals that we never had such sharp eyes to notice🤣. We managed to spot the big five without much difficulties. Apart from those, we also spotted some rare creatures such as cheetah cubs, honey badger, serval, lappet faced eagle (safari company logo :D), steppe eagle, etc. Frank is absolutely professional. He introduced me all the animals alone the way in great details. Sometimes he would carefully double check the bird species in a beautiful birds illustration book. The safari was full of joy and surprise. We enjoyed every second in the wild nature of Tanzania so much that we even feel reluctant to back to city life🥲. P.S. I fulfilled my wish —— to make my own work of animal illustrations! Check them out 👇👇👇

Lappet Faced Safari left a very good impression on me about Safari. When discussing the itinerary, Francisco responded very promptly and provided a lot of useful suggestions; during the entire trip, there were no extra costs or extra services. During this trip, we are very grateful to our guide Mike, who worked tirelessly to help us find animals and introduced various animal knowledge, making us have a very enjoyable trip; we also booked a ride from Arusha to Kilimanjaro For the airport shuttle bus, thank you to Noel for his superb driving skills; and thank you to Francisco for helping us book a fruit lunchbox in advance so that we did not go hungry. We were very satisfied with this trip.

We spent 5 fantastic days with Francisco de Lappet Faced Safari. The planned route was perfect. Francisco is very attentive, answer all questions. We observed all the unmissable animals. The accommodation he found us was top (special mention for the 2 nights in tent at Serengeti). We see that Francisco is very passionate about his profession. He does not hesitate to make available books to find the animals observed. In addition, it drives very well and carefully despite the very difficult roads. We highly recommend Lappet Faced Safari!!

We flew to Tanzania using a tour to Zanzibar(lifehack).Target-safari.Stopped at this company and did not regret. In the process of tripping through the parks (took 7 days of which 1 day of arrival,1 day of departure and 5 days on the trip itself) found a number of advantages .Negotiating the price and itinerary we negotiated with Francisco, who answered all questions quickly and clearly and then enjoyed the company of our guide-Naba. Saw more than we could imagine. Noub is a high-quality driver, sympathetic, responsible and very cultured person, who knows everything within his profession as a guide, as well as many things we were interested in learning about the new country for us.I advise everyone to choose this company and enjoy at least 4-5 days to see everything you want. The most important thing you will have to learn is that even if at the initial stage you do not like (dirt, insects, temperature changes and all kinds of things) , then it more than compensates for the emotions from what you saw! Special thanks to our guide! Nab - you're the best! You always found the best angles for photos and videos, you weren't afraid to drive the extra kilometers so that we could all see what we had planned, you were always smiley and friendly and even saved other tourists ,helping to repair someone else's car etc. Nab ,if we manage to return to the migration of antelope to Kenya,we will definitely ask to meet us . Summary : Folks compare and choose yourself ,but! we are left with the impression that we are lucky and Lappet Faced Safaris-the best professionals!
