Burford
Often called the Gateway to the Cotswolds, Burford is one of the region’s most picturesque towns. With its historic stone houses, medieval bridge over the River Windrush, and the famous High Street gently sloping down towards the river, Burford feels like stepping back in time. You’ll find charming independent shops, traditional pubs, and tearooms serving homemade treats. Highlights include the impressive St. John the Baptist Church, dating back over 900 years, and the timeless atmosphere that makes Burford a favorite stop for travelers seeking authentic Cotswold beauty.
Bibury
Described by William Morris as “the most beautiful village in England”, Bibury is famous for its idyllic charm. The highlight is Arlington Row, a row of 17th-century weavers’ cottages that have become one of the most photographed sights in the Cotswolds. Set along the tranquil River Coln, the village offers postcard-perfect scenery with stone cottages, quaint bridges, and lush greenery. Bibury captures the very essence of the Cotswolds and is a must-see for anyone looking to experience timeless English countryside beauty.

We had a great trip to the Cotswolds. Everything was smooth and well organised. Virgil was really helpful, friendly, and showed us so many beautiful places we wouldn’t have found on our own. It made the whole experience much better. Highly recommend.

We spent a really nice day exploring the Cotswolds, with Bourton-on-the-Water standing out the most. The village feels calm and easy, with small stone bridges and a quiet river running through it. Perfect for a slow walk. Virgil, our driver, made everything simple. He was friendly, punctual, and knew the area well. The schedule felt relaxed, with enough time at each stop.

Spent a day in the Cotswolds and it was worth it. The pace is slow, the views are clean, and everything feels a bit removed from the busy cities. Bourton-on-the-Water was the highlight. The river runs through the village with small stone bridges, and it gives the place a calm feel. Easy to walk around, no rush, just take it in.

We took a full-day tour to the Cotswolds and it was a really calm and easy experience. The countryside feels quiet and open, with soft hills and small villages built from warm stone. One of the highlights was Bourton-on-the-Water. It’s a bit more lively than other stops, with low stone bridges crossing the river, small cafés, and plenty of spots to sit and take it all in. It has a relaxed feel but still a bit of energy.

We spent a day exploring the Cotswolds and it was worth it. The villages feel calm and untouched, with stone houses, quiet streets, and open countryside all around. Stops like Bibury and Bourton-on-the-Water stood out the most. Each place had its own charm, and there was enough time to walk around without feeling rushed.

My husband and I had the most delightful time popping in and out of the antique shops and gift stores, but the real magic was at the historic churches and graveyards. We were able to take a break from the crowd and get moments of solitude and appreciate the history and calmness of the scenery. Our guide allowed us to not think about getting from place to place — or worse … where to park. He was fun, energetic and always there when we needed him. We will be coming back!
