It was by pure chance that we managed to book our two children on to 'Abseil' last Sunday. We had chosen to come to Chee Dale to do the stepping stones walk. As we reached the bridge at Millers Dale, we noticed a lady was abseiling down from the top. Our children were fascinated and quickly climbed up the steps to observe and find out more about it from the top. They were highly delighted to discover that anyone from the age of 3 could book on to have a go. They were very lucky as Wendy the instructor, managed to fit them in after her current session finished. She was so enthusiastic, positive and gave really clear, encouraging instructions as they scaled down the 90ft descent. Our children absolutely loved it and didn’t want to stop. They even had the opportunity to go down together a couple of times. This experience is something they will remember forever. We would highly recommend 'Abseiling' with Wendy at Dolomite Training.

Dolomite Training ran our Charity Abseil at Millers Dale Viaduct. Everyone we dealt with was helpful, approachable, friendly and organised - from the initial enquiry and throughout the day itself. Matt and Steve were our instructors on the day and they were fabulous. We had some blind and visually impaired participants and they were patient and encouraging and everyone had a wonderful time. Thank you!

I loved this so much! It was so much fun and the instructor we had was so lovely. I did it on my own with another couple, and everyone was so into the activity and we got to do it multiple times even when it started raining. I was such a memorable experience and I would recommend it to anyone

From the minute go, Wendy had friendly, attentive and a great communicator. Gave us a through demonstration of how to use the equipment and what to do when hanging from the bridge. Easy-to-use equipment, she also took photos upon request and emailed these over which was a really nice touch. Thanks for a fun morning, braving the English weather.

I took my 10 yr old daughter, who was really quite nervous. Wendy settled her down in no time and we had a brilliant session. Thank you Wendy, a real memory created x

We recently partnered with Dolomite Training for a charity abseil event, and the whole experience was fantastic from start to finish. Wendy and the team were incredibly supportive, organised, and reassuring, which made all the difference—especially for our participants who were trying abseiling for the first time! The instructors were friendly, patient, and encouraging, creating a positive and safe environment that helped everyone feel confident and enjoy the challenge. Communication in the lead-up to the event was clear and timely, and on the day everything ran smoothly. We’ve had amazing feedback from our fundraisers and wouldn’t hesitate to work with Dolomite Training again. Highly recommended for anyone planning an outdoor adventure or fundraising challenge!

The abseiling and caving day was fantastic fun. Wendy was a superb instructor and really went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. Confidence inspiring for the abseiling and caving, knowledgeable and entertaining about the history and geology of the cave. I cannot recommend highly enough, we want to come back for another go!
