The tour guide(ABDUL RASHEED), was very kind and the shuttle was on time.

We got picked up from our hotel by Abdul Rasheed. He drove us to the dunes where we would be having a go on the dune buggies. On the way, Abdul told us about different landmarks and explained all about Abu Dhabi. (He speaks great English.) He also speaks Arabic and Hindi. (We don’t, so the English was great. Thanks) When we arrived, we were shown to the dune buggies. Before we even drove them we thought that they looked awesome. We were given a helmet and goggle, and got strapped in and buckled up. Then we were off, I did the first 30 minutes, the my other half (Sue) did the next 30 minutes. We both really enjoyed the experience. 30 minutes each was just about right. We followed one of the instructors who took us all over the desert. We seemed to go for miles. Sometime got a little bit panicky, as we thought we were going to roll the biggie, but these buggies can take a lot more than we had. Overall 10 out of 10. Next, when we got back, we went on a camel ride. That was ok, and something you have to do in the desert. What’s next ? Abdul asked us if we wanted to go out in his Toyota Land Cruiser. Which obviously we did. Boy, can Abdul drive. I was in my element and loved every second, luckily Sue had brought another pair of nickers with her. She expected us to tip over a few times. But like I said, Abdul is an expert driver in those dunes, and knows what he’s doing. We arrived early and Abdul got us the best seats in the house for the bbq and entertainment. The food was very nice. The entertainment, I’m sure would have been good, but to be honest, we were ready to get back to our hotel. So we headed back. Again we were talking to Abdul all the way back to our hotel. In summary, we had a great day, I would say it’s a must if you visit Abu Dhabi. And if you’re lucky enough you might get picked up by Abdul Rasheed. Better still, ask to be picked up by him. You’ll be in for a great day, and will definitely have a blast 💥

We had a very nice experience in the dessert this morning. We did buggy riding and camel riding! Our guide was Abdul Rasheed and he is a very nice guy who knows everything about the UAE and lives there already for 28 years.
