La Leona is a wonderfull hidden gem in the heart of Rincon de la Vieja Volcano. You will hike 3 hours in the dry tropical forest, parts in the river, parts on land. It is an amazing adventure that will lead you to discover unique landscape.
After the hike, satisfy you need for adventure by going tubing down Rio Colorado. With some class 2 to 3 rapids, this experience will leave you filled with adrenaline.
You will then go and enjoy a delicious traditional meal, take the time to share photos, stories and much more.

What To Expect
La Leona Waterfall
This journey will bring you to Rincon de la Vieja Volcano, the largest volcano in diameter in Costa Rica. You will go for a 3 hours total hike in the dry tropical forest to chase La Leona waterfall, a hidden gem! Then you will go for a super exciting tubing adventure down Rio Colorado. Then you will take time to shares experiences, photos and stories around a delicious traditional meal.

5.00Perfect and refreshing adventure day. Trail for the fall of the Leona is a mixture of walking on land, climbing down ladders, walking in the river and swimming. Is it worth it? 100% validated!! In addition to the fall of the Leona we visited a small cave with 3 WOW waterfalls. For the 1 hour tube descent of pleasure to let down on the river with some sensations of rapid descent, short and light, nothing dangerous in my opinion. 2 nice guides to follow us and help all the way down. 80% of both activities are in the shade. Perfect as a day when it's hot!

The organization was impeccable: excellent communication, really friendly and trilingual guides (French, English, Spanish). We feel taken care of while living an adventure that we could hardly afford alone. Breathtaking landscapes, unforgettable encounters and total immersion in the Pura Vida! I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to discover Costa Rica differently!

5.00The November Girls did the Tour on Demand, Waterfalls tour (Oropendula and Cortez) and the Rincon Volcano hot springs tour together. We had Pepito who was absolutely fantastic. He took great care in making sure we were careful on the trails, hot springs and he took fantastic pictures for us!! This tour is great for everyone and the scenery is incredible! We learned a great deal about Costa Rica and the area.
