What To Expect

Ta Dumbong Kro Aung Statue

The afternoon tour will begin at your chosen tour option.. I'll pick you up at your hotel or restaurant. First, we'll have a briefing. Then, I will take you on a tour of Battambang's French colonial buildings. This includes the monument of Ta Dambong Kra Aung statue, which is the city's symbol. Afterward, we'll continue to our next goal (the original bamboo train).

Before we board the bamboo train, we'll visit small, picturesque villages. We'll travel through the countryside to see some fruit farms and local pagodas along the riverbank. The farmers have wonderful smiles, and young children are waving and saying HELLO!) to you, and I will stop in the village to explain how the locals live there. Then we go to visit a suspension bridge near the Kampong Pil Pagoda. You can take pictures on the bridge with stunning river views. After that, we continue our trek to the Bamboo Train.

A fantastic tour! I can’t believe how much we did in such a short space of time. Mr Lychee was a brilliant guide, he took us to some really interesting places that I don’t think were included in the other tours. He also had a seemingly limitless supply of ice cold water which was very welcome!

A fantastic tour which gives a great insight to the rich history and the lush geography of the Battambang province. Guide Lychee is great in not only providing information, but is also very intuitive to catch the needs and react well. He's very hospitable providing water bottles after every stop (there are quite a few). Overall highly recommended tour in Battambang.

Lychee was a fantastic tour guide and host. He was incredibly informative, clearly very smart and knew a lot of history which we found very interesting. He could answer any and every question on history and politics that we had. He packed as much into our time as possible and ensured we saw everything we wanted to. Highly recommend to anyone with time in Battambang that wants to see what the city has to offer!

Highly recommend lychee as a tour guide. He stopped at numerous locations along the way to the attractions and had great knowledge on the area. He supplied lots of water throughout the day. Great tour!
