What To Expect
Ta Dumbong Kro Aung Statue
The afternoon tour will begin at your chosen tour option.. I'll pick you up at your hotel or restaurant. First, we'll have a briefing. Then, I will take you on a tour of Battambang's French colonial buildings. This includes the monument of Ta Dambong Kra Aung statue, which is the city's symbol. Afterward, we'll continue to our next goal (the original bamboo train).
Before we board the bamboo train, we'll visit small, picturesque villages. We'll travel through the countryside to see some fruit farms and local pagodas along the riverbank. The farmers have wonderful smiles, and young children are waving and saying HELLO!) to you, and I will stop in the village to explain how the locals live there. Then we go to visit a suspension bridge near the Kampong Pil Pagoda. You can take pictures on the bridge with stunning river views. After that, we continue our trek to the Bamboo Train.

Our guide, "Wa Na" (not sure of the spelling), was waiting for us as soon as we arrived in Battambang and greeted us with a smile in his very clean, luxurious tuk-tuk. He suggested a perfect little restaurant for lunch before the tour began. Throughout the tour, he provided us with interesting information, and there were always bottles of cold water available for us. We had a wonderful day in Battambang thanks to him, and we highly recommend him to everyone. He was very professional, very friendly, and an excellent driver.

5.00Excellent trip to the bat caves less, monastery Suspension bridge and to see the sights and learn the history of battenbang! My Lychee was on time, friendly and informative. It’s a long trip but worth it. Bat caves were a little underwhelming but overall a lovely day out!

5.00The trip started when we were picked up at the hotel. We were taken on a great tour in Battambang! Bamboo train was very fun. Recommend this tour as it also takes you to Bat cave and Killing Cave. The guide was nice and helpful! This tour provides a good and nice tour through the best places in Battambang.

5.00We had a great afternoon tour in Battambang with Mr Lychee. We visited and took a ride on the Bamboo Train which was great fun ($5 each extra) then we toured the countryside visiting Pagoda’s, Temples and a Muslim village where we tasted some snacks. Following a 30 minute journey we arrived at the Killing Cave area, we transferred to a truck ($5 each extra) to take us to the top of the mountain to visit the cave, Pagoda’s, monkeys and incredible views. After returning to the bottom of the mountain we waited until dusk to see the 2-3 million Bat’s exit the famous cave. Our driver/guide Mr Lycee was very knowledgeable, friendly and kind. I would not hesitate to recommend him.

5.00A fantastic tour! I can’t believe how much we did in such a short space of time. Mr Lychee was a brilliant guide, he took us to some really interesting places that I don’t think were included in the other tours. He also had a seemingly limitless supply of ice cold water which was very welcome!
