What To Expect
This 2 hr. Express whale watching is a small group tour on custom made 12 seater RIB boats, that can get you closer and faster to the optimal whale watching areas. This means a bigger chance of spotting whales, dolphins and bird life with out disturbing any natural behaviours. We guarantee an intimate and up close experience with our expert guides and a fantastic time in Iceland's longest glacial fjord.

Personal: With only 12 passengers per boat, the tour offers a semi-private experience, with our marine biologist guide and captain! Duration: 2 hours: The tour is about 2 hrs. in total. We are quick to travel into the fjord, spending less time sailing and more time watching! Akureyri - Eyjafjörður: The boat travels through Iceland’s longest fjord, stretching about 60 km, known for stunning landscapes and ample wildlife! RIB boat: The Express tour can reach key whale watching areas faster, maximising the chances of spotting whales and birds!

5.00We had the most amazing experience. Being on the RIB boat was very fun on its own, but we saw the most amazing whale show with Humpbacks all around our boat. One of the highlights of our time in Iceland.

5.00Had a great whale trip, our rib boat was only half full so we were spaced out so everyone always had a great view. The captain and guide were knowledgeable and clearly loved what they do. We saw some harbour porpoise, some minke whale from further afield and a humpback whale. We spent a great amount of time with the humpback, getting up close but without disturbing it and making it uncomfortable- unlike another company who were out there and it felt like they were chasing it which was really sad as the whale then kept deep diving to get away. This is a beautiful location and great trip that was a highlight of our trip around Iceland. Definitely recommend.

5.00Even though it was a rough day and the ride out to see the whales was intensely bumpy, it was well worth it, and we were rewarded with some up close and personal encounters with the whales feeding. Thanks to Jacob and the team for this adventure. PS. If you don't want to get wet and for the bumpy ride to be more bearable, sit in the back, which is what I did...

5.00If you have any back, hip or knee issues I strongly suggest that you don't do this trip. Even though the seats are very comfortable, if its windy then the waves peak and you bounce around in boat pretty aggressively.
