Perfect timing for our cruise ship day in Brindisi. We were able to visit both Alberobello and Ostuni without feeling rushed. Very comfortable!

I do NOT recommend you choose this company if you are looking for a private driver to Alberobello and Ostuni from a cruise ship. I should say, that I rarely write reviews unless things are really good or really bad. In today’s case, it was bad! Here’s our story. First, we were instructed not to take the shuttle into town and that the driver would pick us up steps from the cruise ship. When he was 10 minutes late, I sent a message and he replied that he was at the “customs entrance” and that it would take him about eight minutes to get to us. It should be noted that this port is very large and very industrial. It was closer to 15 minutes when he finally showed up. This is where my real issue begins. He showed up in a Dacia wagon - not a van like the company ads show. For those from North America, his car is kind of like a Subaru outback. The car was clean and in good condition, but it was small for four adults. Luckily, we are small people but for the €480 I was paying I expected a van with more headroom, legroom and storage. If you can believe it, this car has the capability of holding two more individuals in the very back. I can’t imagine adults sitting there. At this point, I wrote.”the boss” about my dissatisfaction with the vehicle. He told me it was a six passenger, and that the photos with the vans are used for “promotional advertisements for group tours” and when I replied that I did not think that was very professional and that I had never been on a tour where we were driving in what felt like someone’s family station wagon, he never wrote back again. At this point we took off in the direction of Alberobello in fairly heavy rain. Once we hit the highway, the driver took off at speed in excess of 120 km an hour. The speed limit on the highway was 90 km. He drove in the middle of the two lanes repeatedly and there were constant beeping noises. We think it was a speed limit alert. To disable it, he had his blinker on almost continuously. At one point we had semi trucks in front of us and beside us and he was honking to make them go faster all while it poured rain. Luckily, the rain stopped fairly quickly. The driver himself seemed very polite and he was very quiet. He had limited English skills. He dropped us off in the town and told us we had two hours. He was there when he said he would be and took us to Ostuni without issue. His driving did seem somewhat calmer on the way back, but that was probably due to the fact that we were on small country roads for the majority of the trip. When we returned to the port, the security personnel seem to have issue with letting us in. As we do not speak Italian, I do not know exactly what was said, but it took at least five minutes of back-and-forth conversation and an inspection of port paperwork before she opened the gate. I suspect the fact that we were in a station wagon rather than a professional looking van made her question our right to be there. Overall, I think it is ridiculous that a professional company can charge €480 for an adult family of four to drive in a station wagon. We did not see any other people from our cruise ship get into similar type vehicles. All either left in buses or vans. We have traveled extensively in Europe and have never encountered such a situation. The speed and manner in which the car was driven was also unsafe at times and inappropriate. I personally love to drive fast, but I would never do so while driving paying strangers. For these reasons, I suggest you avoid this company!

No fault of the driver. He was thrown in when the original driver was ill. There was confusion as to where to be picked up and he really wasn’t a tour guide. He tried his best and took us to Alberobello and to Ostuni but did not give any relevant information for anything that we saw. He basically was transportation. Given how much we paid this really wasn’t worth it. I can’t say how it would be if it were operated properly.

An extremely enjoyable and informative tour of Alberobello, Locorotondo and Ostuni. Our guide was friendly and always willing to answer questions, a big benefit of visiting in a small group. I learned a lot about olive oil at the tasting session and was definitely ready for the Apulian brunch!

Very enjoyable tour! I like they picked us up at the port and that should be made even clearer since we had to pick people up in town who took the shuttle into town. Danny, the the guide, the assistant and the bus driver were all very nice and knowledgeable and good at their assigned duties. The towns were amazing both with unique features and we had time to walk around each although would’ve liked more time in the first stop of Alberobello. It was quite warm, but the guide tried to get us in the shade and we got cold water after the first town. It was a surprisingly interesting and fun tour.

Our bus tour guide gave no history of Alberobello or Ostuni. She took us off the bus and dropped us off with no direction in Ostuni she did not even get off the bus with us or tell us where or what time to meet back. We had to follow another tour guide. We were lost

Danny was excellent! He explained everything clearly and made sure we had plenty of time to explore independently. Even with a tight schedule, he knew just what to highlight so we could return to the cruise ship on time. The olive oil tasting was a delightful addition — we truly enjoyed it! I highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to visit two beautiful towns in a single afternoon. Many thanks!
