Celebrate love with a unique and exclusive romantic picnic at sunset, set in the stunning scenery of one of the Algarve's most beautiful vineyards.

Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed to a picnic table or blanket, and if weather conditions allow, under a romantic tipi. The delicious tapas prepared especially for you will be waiting, along with a bottle of wine from the local winery. You’ll also have the option to choose a natural juice instead. A brief explanation of each dish will be provided, leaving you plenty of time to enjoy this private moment. We also offer vegan and vegetarian options.

Additionally, we provide the opportunity to further customise your dream event with extras such as music for the journey, flowers, champagne, a photo session, and other personalised touches, all priced according to your choices.

Our daughters surprised us with this event. It was a gift to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary: and they could not have chosen a more apt and romantic venue. They, of course, joined us. They wouldn’t want to miss this wonderful experience! Paulo and Gorete make a great team. Gorete cooked up some delicious local cuisine, whilst Paulo perfectly matched the food with his expertly chosen wines, all produced and fermented on site. Initially, Paulo introduced us to the actual vines and how they grow and harvest the grapes (I think that made me appreciate the wine even more!) The few hours we spent there were private and quiet and not what you may have experienced in commercial “days out” whereby the conclusion is a marketing exercise to purchase “The Product” There was none of this – no pressure at all, just a relaxing atmosphere in the Algarve countryside. As well as the traditional food and wine, Paulo has a good singing voice, so we also treated to some Portuguese “time-honoured” songs. I would highly recommend you take a visit if you are holidaying in the area.

We found our guide Paulo to be very informative and eager to share his knowledge on the wines of Portugal. We went to a small family run vineyard Odeluca River Valley. Paulo showed the vines and explained the different varieties of grapes been grown. We saw the wine cellars and the wine making process. Had some Tapas and wines to taste. Paulo makes the experience very enjoyable.

A great trip, travelling in a vintage VW Camper van with Paolo for a wine tasting. Paolo was a star: knowledgeable, charming and very inclusive.

We had so much fun. Lots a knowledge and a great passion for wine! Would have bought more than one bottle if I had more room in my suitcase! The van is truly an eye catcher. 10/10 recommendation.

We had a really fun day out. Would highly recommend Happy Van. Paulo is an excellent host. The VW bus turns a few heads when you arrive at your hotel.
