Very respected memorials by France to American soldiers of WWII. It's moving and should be seen by everyone from all corners of the earth. We should never forget the atrocities of WWII and the men and women that died for democracy. Beautiful memorials.

  • Great tour - a bit rushed

This was an incredibly interesting and educational tour with an absolutely fantastic guide. My complaints aren't at all about the guide, but partly on confusion with times of tour from Viator, a late arriving couple, and a closed road due to rain. The original tour was booked for 6:30 am. About three weeks prior to the tour, I received an email from Viator indicating the tour would now start an hour later and we should plan to be at the bus at 7:15am. On the morning of the tour I got up at 6 and was going to have coffee and breakfast to be at bus at 7:15 am. I checked my emails that morning and there was an email from Viator saying they were looking forward to seeing me at 6:30 am. I had just woken up and panic set in. I checked their website and website also said 6:30 am. I rushed into the shower with 20 min to spare. I got to bus at 6:35, only to find out bus wasn't going to be there until 7 am. And we weren't scheduled until 7:30am. So, WHY did my email and their website not reflect the change to 7:30? I'm diabetic, had to run off the ship with no breakfast, nothing to drink, and was dealing with glucose issues during the day. Then a couple didn't get to the bus until 7:45 am and said their ticket said 10 am...I doubt it. So, the tour was somewhat rushed and we didn't get to the German cemetery which was supposed to be part of the tour. The lunch was good and generous but at around 1:30 pm, it was the first thing I put into my stomach that day. Not good for a diabetic. The tour WAS very well organized, the guide made absolutely sure he let us know exactly what time we needed to be back and he knew immediately if someone was missing. Overall, a great tour and I would recommend it.

One of the best tours ever! The guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. Everything was organized and smoothly executed. We went to two landing points at Omaha Beach, and had plenty of time to see everything. The American Cemetery is something everyone should see. The tour guide was one of the best we have ever experienced, easy to understand, super knowledgeable and very attentive. Highly recommend this tour!

Excellent tour of Normandy with friendly and knowledgeable guide. Bag lunch provided was good with desserts that were scrumptious. And we all shared a couple of bottles of local wine! Loved this tour.

It was a very interesting and informative tour. I learned a lot. Betrand was very knowledgeable and was happy to answer any questions. He kept us on time and got us back to the cruise ship in plenty of time to board.
