This food tour was very disappointing, especially given the price (about $150 USD). The guide was good, but not so much the food. There were two stops with cheese, one with aioli, crackers and chickpea flour “bread,” and two dessert stops. Very mediocre and not worth the price.

This isn’t a negative review per se. Just compared to other food tours and experiences we’ve had in other cities and countries it has room for improvement. First; the tour operator didn’t respond to our messages and questions either on the TA app or WhatsApp to ask and confirm timing and logistics for meeting. The guide was good and had nice knowledge. We felt the cost was a bit high for the time and amount of food/drink compared to others we’ve done. So, perhaps this is just a local market condition? Again, not poor, just ok.

What amazing tour with Inga! She radiates positive vibes and lead me and the group I was with on a wonderful food journey in Marseille! She was knowledgeable about the cuisine and introduced us to friends in the culinary world along the way! I recommend this tour!

Strengths: Ultra friendly Guide, so nice! Weaknesses: There were very few historical elements, our Guide confessing herself very uncomfortable with historical dates and facts... which was disappointing. Restaurant owners sometimes seemed happy to see us, sometimes too busy. The description of the dishes often boiled down to only a sentence or two, with no cultural/historical explanation. Perhaps the most disappointing was our Reservation in French, hoping for a local experience. The tour was conducted in English, with a Guide who was not French... she offered us to translate, but since French was not her mother tongue, it was easier to understand it in English Are all, neither historical nor local Unfortunately I do not recommend despite the human kindness of our Guide
