  I only give 2 stars as the water park was much fun and the kids really enjoyed it. However the Bday greeting which we were promised for the room and the restaurant was missed. The popcorn for the pantomime was extra salty and the reaction of the staff when returning the boxes and reporting it, was ignorant. Splash park hotel didn't have a warm drinks machine operating and we had to walk down to Alton Towers hotel where the Costac coffee servant was rude. The top bunkbed had madive pile of dust in the corners and some of the bed sheets were stained. The overall service in the resort is not at the expected level.

  I expected more.... we stayed at the splash landing hotel for my daughters 7th Birthday with two of her friends, firstly the bad experience started with dinner, food was not great very bland or dry, took ages for our drinks to come. I then got a glass vase of water thrown at me by a child on the table behind, cant blame the child but took awhile for staff to clean it up and then still left a massive piece of glass by my foot which I then needed to pick up and make them aware of. Pantomime was great, really great cast! Then bedtime which was the worst bit, we stayed in room 1430. I dont know what is connected to the room but it sounded like a very loud motorbike was next door and didn't stop until very late around 11pm and started again at 6am. All three children really struggled to fall asleep and then after such a small amount of sleep they were woken up again really early. One of the children I had with me is mentally disabled and then set the whole next day at the wayerpark into turmoil. For the price you pay for one night was definitely not worth it. Its a shame it ruined our whole experience when it was meant to be one of a celebration!!

  We stayed for an overnight stay with our 7yr old boy. Fantastic experience for the price. Price included Pantomime Golf 1 night stay Breakfast and evening meal Access to waterpark Access to the aquarium Rooms clean and well maintained Staff helpful and welcoming Brilliant Christmas experience, would definitely recommend for families with young children

• Would go again but wouldn’t stay at the splash land hotel. People are great but the cleanliness was not the best

  Father Christmas was good. We did the Santa sleep over. The pantomime was great to.. Christmas dinner was not the best but nice gesture. My daughter loved it. The only thing that disappointed us was the room we stayed in. Shower was dreadful really small space and it didn’t catch all your body. When we opened the bed to get in there was a baby dummy inside so they didn’t change the bedding. We don’t go down to complain as we was really tired been a long day. The next day we went swimming daughter loved it but the outside pool was really dirty and they still let you use it. Sorry we stayed at splash land Alton towers

  We had a one night break with our children. We had a wonderful time. We went to the waterpark and played the extraordinary golf, both of which were great fun. The waterpark and hotel are both very clean and well kept. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. All decorated for Christmas which was lovely. It was super quiet which was nice. Can’t recommend enough, we will be going back soon when the main park is open!!

  The most amazing day and night for my little one’s birthday, all we have spoken about since we have been home is how amazing it was! The theme throughout the hotel, the background music even in the car park, to the foyer, just made everything that little bit more magical. Splash landings was incredible too. We loved it. A birthday card was also put in the room for my little boy which I thought was the loveliest touch. The only downside I would say, was that as it was just me and him, and because of his age (and also not wanting to leave my bag unattended at the table) at breakfast we had to go up together to get our food/drinks, we would bring for example a plate of food back and then went up separately to get drinks as we couldn’t carry it all, and when we got back to the table I assume the staff thought we had gone (even with full untouched plates of food/drink), so we then had to go up again about 4 separate times to re-plate all of our original food which did ruin breakfast for us. I understand the need to want to clear tables but I would suggest maybe leaving it a little longer or potentially providing trays to reduce this happening. Also food was very pricey but that’s not unusual at a resort hotel I guess. But overall the most amazing stay! We will definitely be returning!

  Our two grandchildren, aged 12 and 10, thoroughly enjoyed their time at the Waterpark. They stayed in the pool for over 3 hours - technically they say there is a 2.5 hour limit but they don’t seem to enforce that if they don’t need to. Though it was half term it was not overcrowded and there was minimal queuing. We had a horrendous time queuing for up to an hour for the car park the day before at the Adventure Park so we waited till lunchtime and sailed through without any queues at all - and the waterpark car park is free. A couple of points to bear in mind - you need 20p coins for the lockers and the cafe options are very limited. I am not sure of the Alton Towers policy on bringing in sandwiches etc. A lot of people did so I presume it’s OK. The staff were very friendly. There were plenty of life guards around and it was very clean. Its probably not as exciting for older teenagers as some water parks in terms of flumes etc but for toddlers up to pre teenagers it’s very good.

  Staff are amazing and always on watch. Place was clean and so fun, me and my family had the best time! Shoutout to Callum J and the rest of the lifeguards for making sure my little sister felt better after an incident, Truly wonderful. Great experience will definitely come back 💕

  Water park needs updating, clearer organisation re slides, improved facilities and shower/changing areas. Staff are fab.
